Where to refinance mortgage?

9 posts in this topic

BofA has my mortgage and has approved me for a refinance to a 15 year. However since they approved me they have stopped responding to me and refuse to move onto the next steps. Not sure if this is because I am moving to a worse deal for them or simply because of their terrible customer service as usual. Annoyingly they have sent me a flyer in the mail on Friday asking me to contact them about a refinance since I am a platinum banking member.

Anyway, where should I go next? Or does it matter?

We used Best Rate Mortgage (mortgage originator). Their rates and other terms were great.

You can use anyone, and if I were you I would not use BOA.

They are the worst bank out there for mortgages, with Wells and USAA coming in at 2nd and 3rd.

You may can search around enough to get one with CC paid.

I contacted Bofa on May 22 to refinance. Again, this is after they contacted me twice asking me to refinance as a platinum banking member.

I sent in all the docs and was approved for a rate of 3.1%.

Then they just went silent. I contacted the guys boss and they said they would get back to me. Never heard back despite contacting them multiple times.

Today's rate is around 3.5%-3.6%.

Will be moving my "platinum account" elsewhere. I doubt the stock price will move much.

Yup, just like them.

If rates are going up, they don't want to deal with you, in fact won't call you back at all.

PM me if you need a good one, it's in ILM but that doesn't matter.

    • Best suited for a rotational role
    • We just resigned Cody until 2020-21 and Frank will be on his rookie contract until 19-20. I think we don't need to worry about this at all. The biggest issue we have will be Kemba, but since Kemba and Dwight expire at the same time we will have plenty of money. That Howard trade really helped free up Miles 12m at the right time.  Now, as far as fit is concerned. Zeller just makes everybody look better. He will help out the second unit tremendously. I think he will be a great fit with Monk and Frank in that 2nd unit.  Teams go small, take out Dwight put Zeller in. Marvin not shooting well, but in Frank and team with Dwight or Zeller.  We now have options, something we didn't have last year.
    • Depends on what the play calling looks like this year. I try to avoid judging individuals on the success of a group, unless it's the HC. If Shula's play calling looks like hot garbage like it has so far and Cam & co. are just making up for it like in 2015, then yes I'll continue to hate him. If the playbook (and situational playcalling) is indeed better then I'll be glad and start warming up to Shula.
