Yes. Brad Bird's (The Incredibles) first movie.

I also recommend any movie from Studio Ghibli. Ponyo, Ki Ki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away to name a few.

An 8 year old should be able to digest Gremelins... But up to the parent n assessment of the childs emotional maturity.. Each kid has different levels of what they could handle...

One of my favorite things to do with my daughter (12 yrs old) is to watch my favorite old movies with her as she has grown up. She's finally mature enough to watch some pg-13 movies, Im pretty stoked about it.
