Woman is cavity searched....on the highway...for weed

That is absurd.
If there was anything that warranted a cavity search, then you take the person in and perform that search in an appropriate manner and place. Side of the road is not it.
Glad to see the female cop was fired, but only suspending the male cop was ridiculous. Fire him as well.

They both should receive criminal charges. Forget about firing and suspension.

unlike arguing with a cop who is working a DUI checkpoint, this is a pretty strong case for police abuse of authority.

The first police officer initiated this process by requesting a female officer to do the body cavity search.
Why is he only suspended?
Why wasn't his request denied by the dispatcher?
What would ever give these officers the impression that public body cavity searches are acceptable?
Sounds like this problem goes much deeper and is more wide spread than it first appears.

Why this is still agressively pursued and criminalized by law enforcement and is beyond me.
I do not use it..but really see no point in fighting it so aggressively. Just legalize it already.
