It says deepest, not best.  Otherwise Minnesota would be #1 based on having AP alone.

seems as though seattle is #2 based on having lynch alone.

Oh my god, why do you guys care so much about rankings? Are they that important? What happens when season in season out we are ranked number 1 but cannot win the superbowl? Flacco was not the highest ranked QB before last season but he went on to win the big one.

Rankings DON'T matter!

Well, despite our best efforts, you can't simply buy yourself the best backfield in the league

Also who cares because it's runningbacks

8th best means there are 24 teams behind us. Top 10 is good. Right? Also, who gives a fug. Well, I mean, besides fug that is.

I got that, but are the Eagles really that deep?

Meh, top 8 works. it was something to read... in the off season I guess.

Does anyone think Stewart will re-assume the starting spot over Dwill this coming season tho? I mean he had surgery on both ankles right?

And I know there was a lot of beating down of Dwill for his lack of production while the whole team was slow getting on the train with the read-option in play in the early part of the season. But, wasn't there kinda a rift and from some a collective scratching of the head when they announced DWill was getting pushed back to 2nd?

Not that either couldn't be the starter, it just stood out that guy wrote "If healthy, he'll start over Williams"...

D Will is the starter. Stewart had like 360 rushing yards last year. He continues to have ankle and foot issues. I know both backs have been put on the IR since 2009 but DWill has provided more and if the 2010 season wasn't as atrocious as it was I don't think he would have been placed on the IR. I hope I am wrong about Stewart and he plays all 16 games (plus possible playoffs) this season, but I am concerned over his long term reliability. When completely healthy he IS the better back in our tandem though.

Perception around the league is that the Panthers suck. This is what happens when you've had three consecutive losing seasons.

this.

we want respect? the team has to start actually winning instead of making excuses and talking about rome taking centuries to build.

we've earned and completely deserve the amount of respect that we get.

    • No, we haven't heard that for the last 5-6 years. Last year we could have gotten a solid tackle if we weren't picking 30th. People were talking up Tunsil, Stanley, Conklin and even Decker. The first two were considered top 10 and Tunsil was talked about #1 until the video showed up. None of the OTs this year have gotten close to those 4's hype. Heck, the #1, 2, and 3 OTs this year are a guy who just had hip surgery and played only 1 year in D1, a guy who seems to be past his checkered history and also played only 1 year in D1/is going to be 25 by camp and a guy with character issues that top draft prognosticators have called a guard or RT at best. That pales in comparison with last year's class. The only reason those 3 may go in the 1st is because there is no one else close and there are a ton of teams at the back end of the 1st that need tackles. Also, as I said, please go watch the Senior Bowl. Almost every OT that is after the top 3 was playing and they got tore up by the DEs/OLBs. It was like multiple Remmers out there making all the DEs/OLBs look like Von Miller. I was amazed at how bad some of them looked on multiple plays. I will repeat, this class looks awful to me, way, way worse than last year. I don't care if you don't like Gettleman or not, that line has been repeated by just about every draft analyst on this draft. OT is a glaring weak spot in this draft. If you really want to be upset, go look at the top picks we traded away before he got here. Do you think Dez Bryant or Demaryius Thomas would have helped Cam a bit?
    • It's mostly your boss's. He just generously lets you keep a pittance of it compared to what he takes off of your work.
    • I know it's not popular, but what if we trade back from 8? I know it's a good draft and there are a ton of great prospects in the top 12 but it could be possible.
