Can we find someone who goes to the side?

So they can be tackled for a 3 yard loss on the right or left instead of a three yard loss up the middle?

It doesnt matter who you give the ball to with this offensive line. You can have an average back with an outstanding line and have a good running game. On the other hand, you could have Walter Payton running behind this group and he would struggle. When you have the defense constantly five yards behind the line of scrimmage with your Oline fat asses running around in circles or doing belly flops, there ain't no running game gonna b going on.

you don't have to change how you respond. Different opinions is why the board is here.....

I'm sure you can articulate a drastically different opinion "nicely".

Did you not think the OL was an issue last year? Williams was basically a 3 yard per carry RB.....last game is the year gave him almost a full yard bump

The OL is not great, but they are poorly suited for Shula's playbook, which depends greatly on timing, quick thin-slicing of the defense, and agility, abilities that are in short supply on this roster.  It would be too simplistic to say "square peg in round hole," but it's really the best analogy.

I think the difference may be a 2 ypc average versus a 1.5 ypc average. Barner has a better chance but no one is succeeding behind that line. With no changes, Cam is the leading rusher on broken plays alone.

Shula has to adapt then. Cannot replace all of them, but he can play to their strengths, if they have any.

given these 2 options based on what we've seen so far we might as well just pass every play.

Precisely why I started a thread stating Barner will end the season as our feature back.

Ehhhh, I like what we have with F-Zero but he's not feature back material. He's a gadget/bullet player.

At the end of the day, positive yardage beats negative yardage. Sorry but play speaks for itself. Barner >
