Cam and his accuracy issues.

Best Answer teeray, 25 August 2013 - 01:10 AM

Also will add that Cam is very accurate, even with pressure when he steps up in the pocket. The Ravens did a good job of getting interior push which at times forces Cam to throw flat footed or off his back foot. All QBs will struggle with accuracy when that happens.

As a matter of fact Cam is so strong he can get away with doing that more than most other QBs in the league.

The two things I really would like to see Cam improve on is making quicker decisions and sliding left or right inside the pocket. Both of those things will come as he gets more experience.

People should also realize that even though this will be his third season he is still a little green. Go to the full post

Um, Delhomme had more than one receiver. Sure. Smith and Muhammad. Cam has Smith, LaFell, Olsen. So its not that he does not have anyone to throw to. Jake had an amazing o line. No doubt. Jake was more inconsistent than any one I can remember. But he was clutch. Cam has kind of lost his clutchness in the NFL. In college he was Mr. Clutch.

Why are u even here. I'm a panther fan. Not a cam nut hugger. I love cam but he has issues. Just like anyone else. But to blindly say the man is flawless is stupid sir.

No one is saying Cam is flawless. He suffers from the same flaws as every other QB (actually, much less than most as he is, at minimum, in the top half of the league's starters).

I watched Flacco look pretty mediocre when he had pressure in his face. I saw him miss some receivers he should have hit easily. It happens. Every QB misses bad from time to time.

I just don't understand why some expect Newton to be perfect every time out when that just isn't reality in today's NFL.

I've been here for years. Where have you been? All I've seen you do is scream and yell about how persecuted you are here for your "opinion", and go on illogical rants about what other fans here think about our quarterback.

Umm dude. I've been on this board for years. And honestly I've never seen u until recently.

Your 2013 preseason passing leader is Tavaris Jackson. If I have to explain the absurdity of this thread than a lot of people are wasting oxygen.

LOL. I don't care about the rest. I care about Cam. I meant his accuracy in general. Not just preseason. As a whole.

I think some of you think this thread is about his recent games. That is part of it. Ic you don't want to join in the debate or conversation, that's fine. But don't go dismissing the issue.

There is no such thing as clutch. It's a mythical concept that helps contribute to the storylines made from sporting events and their discrete series of events. Michael Jordan missed half of his game winning shots; Peyton Manning is both the all time leader in 4th quarter comebacks and failed comebacks, Tom Brady lost two Super Bowls to Eli Manning, it's a myth.

I like how you just nonchalantly throw out that Delhomme had Steve Smith and Moose like it's no big deal. Yet play up our current WR core like they are world beaters. Olsen may as well be a our #2 receiver production wise.

Who's the other TE on our roster worth a damn? Exactly. So that leaves.... Lafell.

He has definite accuracy issues. But we don't have a perfect vacuum to assess his progress because the line has steadily declined around him.

Are you going to continue to type like a teenage girl sending her first text messages and spell "you" as "u"?

I merely pointed out that Jake had less to work with. The deciding factor was the o line. Which was far better than what we have now. On a side note, you really need to stop reading too much into what I say bro.
