Seahawk Fans Expecting Blowout in Week 1

Recommended Posts

The weakest point on that Seattle O Line appears to be on the right side, Giacomini especially. He struggled mightily in our game last year. Sweezy (RG) has been getting a ton of holds and false starts in preseason, but I haven't seen enough of him to be able to say if he's a schlub or not.

Attack their right side and get Wilson rattled.

I'm afraid Lynch will put up 150 no matter what we do.

And yeah any thread that begins with "I was talking to these two ______ fans" is probably going to really suck.

the whole team is getting hammered with penalties this preseason.  If that don't change, you guys will definitely win the field position battle.

i expect the game to be a boring low scoring defensive battle like the last game....14-12 final it could go either way

I hope the seahawks players have the same mentality, it will be so much sweeter when we punch them in the mouth and take a W week 1.

I think if Star can play the whole game I think running over the middle might be easier said than done.  And if our linebackers hold up we won't be getting gashed on the edges either. Seems to me we should be able to defend the spread and the option.  It isn't like we don't ever run it.  I expect Cam to run it a number of times in practice to get him prepared as well as the defense for Seattle.

We had lynch at 85 yards last year and our defense has only improved since then so I don't think he'll get 150

Looks like Bruce Irvin will be serving a 4 game suspension to start the season. Won't have to worry about him rushing Cam.

Also, Seattle ran the ball 55% of the time last year. We have a good chance of stopping that run game with our front 7.

Their big offensive upgrade this offseason has a bum hip. Their leading receiver last year had 50 catches for 748 yards & 7TDs and also went to Switzerland to have an experimental knee treatment. It's not looking good for their offense.

To top it all off, they're playing on the road. They went undefeated in Seattle last year, but were 3-5 on the road.

A lot of their fans are "fans". They don't know up from down left from right, quarterback from corner back. It's just a phase for a lot of them. I think the reason falcons fans are so understanding is because they are fans and not band wagoners, hanging on with a pinky waiting to jump ship. I'd take what you get out of them with a grain of salt. Even a lot of the Ravens fans seemed to be knowledgable beyond TV about us which was refreshing. Also, the comments section on ESPN about the uniforms shows a lot of support. I think we may soon have the role of national underdog and gain some points in the media if we start by destroying the Hawks offense and Cam fighting Sherman. Then Sherman can go on first take with a busted jaw and day he got under Steve's skin not realizing Steve fights everyone.

I think we can win but right now it's a toss up. We are so yin and yang it's not funny. 2011 we would start the game hot to lose it in the end. Last year it seemed we either stayed stagnant or were efficient. I hope we can come out hot and remain efficient this year but Seattle isn't the end all be all. I believe we can smack them like we smacked the Redskins last year or we could have a Denver dibacle.

I think it is obvious our coaching staffs ability to game plan coming off a bye is questionable at best so the first game will say a lot more about them than the players.

ESPN if we win:

What's wrong with Seattle? Why did they play so poorly? Let's look at their mistakes and blunders. How can they clean this up? Let's look ahead to the SF match up. Oh btw Luke is great, and he played at BC. Boston! *Boston accent*

I thought this night be creative but you just took verbatim what happened after the Ravens game. I think if we repeat our defensive performance from the preseason into the season, a lot of guys( at least the former players) from ESPN will begin to talk about us in a more than it was a fluke way.

I'm interested to see what the Fox and CBS news crews have to say because they are generally more insightful.

The Seahawks are going to get blown out week one. We are going to win comfortably and our backup QB will get some playing time at ~5:00 minute mark of the 4th quarter. The most overhyped team of 2013 will come crashing down to earth in glorious fashion while the Panthers begin their ascent into greatness.
