Once I find a way to generate the 1.21 gigawatts required to power the flux capacitor, I will be able to give you a definitive answer.

You just need a lightning bolt, some trash or some plutonium. Should not be too hard to find these days.

As for the original question, I am very confident both will be around for a while, which makes me happy.

If Either one slips up bring in kickalicious!

You know, I really thought about that. He'll be gone by the time we realize we don't have the kickers of our future. Too many flashbacks of Nortman muffs and especially Gano misses throughout the years (seriously, one of the worst percentages in the league).

Maybe our special teams stars are aligning.  Gano looking sharp, Nortman with booming punts, and Ginn to return kicks.  Me likey.

Nortman was dreadful last year but was a rookie and as rookies should do he worked on his craft and seems to have really improved.

I didn't think Gano was all that bad last year. He had a few bad kicks and everybody likes to point out that missed XP against the Eagles (which was more of a timing issue), but something has really changed in him and he has been dead on with some of his kicks...most of which seemed to be longer than 50 this preseason.

I would like to see what both of them can do in meaningful games and when the game is on the line. But as of this moment, I would be perfectly fine with having both on the team long into the future.

Yea, I have no idea if they're going to be better this year or the future.  However, I will say they have both looked awesome in preseason so far and the kicking game is the one area in the preseason you can look at and not diminish the merit of due to teams not going full speed with full playbooks.

Don't know if they're 'the future', but I have positive feelings about both.

I do know it would be nice to go into a season not having to worry about the kicker and punter slots (like we have on an annual basis for the last few years).

Nortman still scares me. I've become a fan if Gano, though. So, we'll see.

Rookies will struggle but hopefully, Nortman will learn and be better. Gano just needed the right team for his fit after Redskins flop.

I was thinking about Nortman a few days ago and wonder why nobody made a thread about his punting this preseason.  Nortman has been banging those punts, I thought I was the only one.

The preseason gives me hope for both of them.  Lets see what happens when it counts.

I was pretty surprised when I saw Gano boot that 54 yarder with plenty to spare and it went right down the middle. In fact you might say I was somewhat shocked.
