I like the way we are playing, but we still need one more winger. JR just needs to pony up and pay Morrow.

Jiri Tlusty - Eric Staal - Alexander Semin

Jeff Skinner - Jordan Staal - Tuomo Ruutu

Brendan Morrow - Elias Lindholm - Radek Dvorak

Nathan Gerbe - Riley Nash - Patrick Dwyer

Kevin Westgarth

Chris Terry

Tim Gleason - Justin Faulk

Andrej Sekera - Ron Hainsey

Mike Komisarek - Jay Harrison

Brett Bellemore

Ryan Murphy

Cam Ward

Anton Khudobin

That looks pretty solid to me.

I agree Morrow needs to be had, I can't help but think JR is probably waiting for the price to go down.  Inevitably he will wait too long or he feels we have the pieces in place.  I've also been pleasantly surprised with Dvorak.

Tonight's game was horrendous... I watched as much as I could on a boot leg website and I was not impressed. Muller even said after the game that the door was shutting on some players...

Just a guess, but here is what I'm guessing (only included players in tonight's line up).

Safe (Permanently)

Eric Staal, Alexander Semin, Andrej Sekera, Mike Komisarek, Tim Gleason, Kevin Westgarth, Tuomo Ruutu, Riley Nash, Justin Faulk, Cam Ward, and Jay Harrison.

Safe (At Least Until Final Cuts)

Drayson Bowman, Jeremy Welsh, and Zach Boychuk.

Relegated to Charlotte Checkers training camp

Zac Dalpe, Justin Peters, Aaron Palushaj, Matt Corrente, Brett Sutter, and Nicolas Blanchard.

At this point if the Hurricanes don't have a good season, Muller should be gone.

Canes look really good tonight.

The only guy that doesn't look like he should be on the ice is Matt Corrente and that's because he's a penalty waiting to happen.

    • My question is whether we're sold enough on him to trade up with Jacksonville to ensure we get him. What would that take? I'd offer them our late 2nd rounder that we got from the Pats, take it or leave it. No way they trade down just for our 3rd round comp. pick and no way Gettleman gives up our original 2nd rounder. I maintain that the best case scenario for the Panthers is for at least 1 QB to go in the top-6, either to the 49ers or Jets. Jacksonville could opt for Solomon Thomas or Jonathan Allen over Fournette, but not likely anyone else other than Garrett, who is going 1st overall without a doubt. Would also be helpful for the Titans to go safety over corner, leaving the Jets with the option to take Lattimore. 1. CLE: Myles Garrett
      2. SF: Mitchell Trubisky
      3. CHI: Jonathan Allen
      4. JAX: Solomon Thomas
      5. TEN: Malik Hooker
      6. NYJ: Marshon Lattimore
      7. SD: Jamal Adams
      8. CAR: Leonard Fournette
