Panthers still 35% to make the playoffs

If you think about it, we almost beat a team that destroyed SF the next week and almost beat a team that almost be NE. And heck we are favored against NYG

So it makes sense that the simulation would view our average success on similar plays to the NFL as favorable so far in the year.

It doesn't have a coach factor though.

This is pretty interesting. I think we can still make the playoffs. It's not like we are getting bullied. We haven't been playing all that great but we could easily by 2-0 minus a few mistakes. I'm curious to see how we fare against the giants. I am going to go out on a limb and say we will end the season at 10-6. :)

just over 12% actually.

. The 12%+ is merely a historical average

This.

Most people don't realize this, they just sound like parrots. If I had a dollar for every time the last two weeks I heard a Panther fan state the 12%, I'd have like 45 dollars.

I know being optimistic is frowned upon here, but I think we have better odds than 12%. There are so many variables not accounted for, we are usually a stronger team the second half of the season, which is actually when we play every division game. The Falcons, who have one of the worst O-lines I've seen for years (yes, worse than ours), the Saints, who aside from Drew Brees, don't look like they have it all together either, and the Bucs (enough said).

I truly think we sweep our division and make the playoffs. Haters welcome.

10% chance of rain will get you 100% wet, or something like that.

If we played ourselves for the next 14 weeks this stat would be realistic.

Last week against buffalo was as close to a mirror match as it gets this season

Well crap I woke up on the right side of the bed this morning and every time I've done that the Panthers have either won or lost the game on Sunday.  I'd say our chances of making the playoffs are 50/50!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOLSALSADTNGO)JWQT23

I've noticed our defense played poor against the hurry up offenses.

I think they play a lot more like they did against Seattle going forward.

Talk of chance and stats is useless.  I mean how can you know what your chance was when you DONT make the playoffs? "Oh, well at least we finished the season with an 80% chance of making it" ... but we didn't

Wins and Losses.

edit: i'm being quite facetious here, i understand the value of statistical models. but as they say theres lies, damned lies and statistics.
