Have you actually watched a Panthers game this year (especially the second half last year, and the previous 4)?

This sounds like something someone in the national media would write, not someone with 7000+ Huddle Post.

I think you're being very general, dated and simple here. I'm too lazy to highlight your points, cause after the 9 games, if you see no progress/so much negative in Cam's development since he got to Carolina (you made Absolute, not measured, timely or nuanced statements and critiques), what else is there to say to you? Seasons do have an ebb and flow you know.

Oh well.

Actually, I watch every game.

Frame the argument as you will to support your QB, but I am just speaking as someone who has watched football since the late 60's.  To be great, you have to do all things well, or defenses will limit your strengths and expose your weaknesses.  I want to see Cam throw better, period.  I know for this team to make it to and win championships, he and every other player on the team will need to up their game.

Do you think Brady or Brees, or Manning could win if they could not make all the throws?

Cam has more physical abilities than any of these guys, but if teams surround you to keep you from breaking contain, then, it is your arm and ability to pass that will make you sink or swim.

I will never be content just because we are doing better than last year.  Picking 5th or picking 20 in the draft is not my concern.  i want to be picking 32nd.  And until that happens, I will praise where worthy and call out where there needs to be work.  And that is not just for Cam, but coaches, players, special teams, etc.

Cam has some legitimate things he needs to solve in his passing game.  I want to see him progress there or we will be hampered as a team in the long run.

Footwork is still horrible, take a look at where his feet were pointed when he threw the INT.

He needs more trash can practice also as the "fastball" is his most effective weapon and it works primarily on comeback routes.  He has shown little touch on screen passes, crossing patterns and even long balls oddly enough.

His receivers can obviously help by concentrating better, but the bottom line is that he needs to continue to progress.

I think when the offense is having a horrible day, but Cam jumps up to "pose" with his first down pose, not only does it rub me the wrong way, but sportscasters like the NBC guys see it as about him still and not the team.  This type thing that most of you adore, face it, makes him look less than a seasoned vet, especially when we put up the whopping offensive numbers we did this past Sunday.

He has some incredible gifts, but to be great, he needs to fill in all the holes in his game and not worry so much about getting out front to celebrate.  Winning will give him plenty of a stage.

Don't think this part is entirely true. He had no pocket to step up into. The DE was very close to batting the ball out of his hand as he was about to throw. IMO more of a bad decision than truly bad footwork.

NBC is a communist front.  Their purpose is to "deconstruct" the concept of American exceptionalism.

So wait........is it the Judea People's Front, or  the Peoples front of Judea?

So let me get this straight. Our defensive minded coach finally has his defense playing at a high level. Playing at such a high level that it allows your young qb the opportunity to develop instead of making him play perfect football and win the games for you.

But now the defense is carrying Cam? I think the defense is just finally doing what they were built to do. People act like this isn't a dynamic offense that can put up points.

I find it ironic/telling, that guys like RG3 and Kaepernick, who are truly immature (and have shown it numerous times), are called mature. Or at least they were. Now they're just ignored in that respect when they act up. No one talks about it much, though some do.

Meanwhile, guys like Cam, were very mature, the moment they step into the league (as far as his approach to work/football, and how gracious he's been to teammates and media). Nonetheless, every little thing he does (such as his post game interviews) were unmercifully scrutinized, as if that makes him some kinda of bad person or football player. Where was the coverage of RG3 constantly pouting, threatening his coach to play him, and publicly undermining his back up QB during last years playoff run, just for starters? Where was the undending coverage, of Kaepernick's tantrums, poor play, and off the field carousing by media?

Thomas Davis, cried in the locker room, in front of reporters after a loss last year, for Christ Sake, and no one cared!!

But if it was Cammmmm??????????????????????

Get my drift?

Fwiw ESPN's newest mouth breather Mark Brunell was asked if Carolina is a "pretender or contender".

First of all he looked nervous as hell on TV and was rocking back and forth and his voice was shaky...anyways of course he said we are "pretenders".

His reasoning was absurd; had something to do with our defense struggling (lol wut).

I think the point is that the Defense is what has made the Panthers otherworldly.

Eric Kusilieus is one of the biggest Cam supporters as he was the only one on the show fighting for him as the best young QB.

Other guys had Cam as the 4th best read option QB and Eric lost his mind!

Cam is special as he made the offense relevant from the first snap 3years ago...now the defense has caught up and surpassed the offense as the identity of the team.

It was not intended to be a knock to Cam you bunch of oversensitive Huddlers.

Additions to the offense via the draft since we grabbed Newton:

Kealoha Pilares (5th)

Amini Silatolu (2nd)

Joe Adams (4th)

Edmund Kugbilla (4th - lol)

Kenjon Barner (6th)

Fumblin' Joe Adams being the highest non-OG pick. Additions via FA since we grabbed Newton:

Ted Ginn Jr.

Domenik Hixon

Travelle Wharton

Mike Tolbert

Greg Olsen

Louis Murphy

Seyi Ajirotutu

Legedu "Legatron" Naanee

Olsen, Tolbert, Ginn and Wharton are about the only notables here. Olsen is good, Ginn is a solid 2/3, Tolbert is a monster and Wharton is solid.

Anyways, compare this with the resources we've thrown at the D. Then factor in that the D has kept it's coordinator and our HC is a defensive mind and they damn well better be pulling us through games when the offense sputters. The minute we give the offense half of the resources and attention we've given the defense (and no, putting everything on Newton's back doesn't count), I'll start judging the QB. Until then, if we score more than 14 points on O, I'm fuging thrilled.

Since Cam had the infamous "Something's gotta change/Suggestion box" presser, the Panthers have gone 12-7. Before that the teams went 7-15.

Sure looks like no one responded to that immature fake leader/crybaby.
