Drafting the wrong players, or failing to develop the ones they draft?

Recommended Posts

The players we have drafted would only fit on teams that have definitive talent at other positions. This team clearly lacks that talent.

The only sure thing(s) we have is Jefferson and Kemba. As much as I like MKG, he's no #2 draft pick. As much as I like Zeller, (My initial draft day reactions show this) we should have bitten the bullet and drafted Noel.

We could have taken Beal who is averaging 20 ppg and would be an excellent combo to Kemba.  We got MKG who excels in every stat, but scoring.

Stern fuging us over with "The Brow" is the setback this team could have done without.

Let's rate Cho's draft picks so far (based on where they were drafted and how they are playing right now, not that even if I label you a bust you can't change, there is stillt time.)

Bismack Biyombo - 2011: (7th) - BUST

Kemba Walker - 2011: (9th) - Best pick by far for Cho but let's be honest probably even Higgins would have made this pick.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - 2012: 2nd - BUST

Jeff Taylor - 2012: (31st, 2nd Rnd) - His second best pick.

Cody Zeller - 2013: (4th) - The only reason he gets a pass from being labeled an early BUST is because Coach Cliff won't let us see enough of him to make a ruling one way or the other.

It hurts when you leave talents like Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard, Andre Drummond, Nerlens Noel, and Michael Carter-Williams on the board and that is not even mentioning Kawhi Leonard and Klay Thompson. Cho's little computer is nice and all and it may be good at finding good character human beings but so far it has not had the best track record for finding players good at basketball. Having said that he has a chance in this draft to make all of this up to now moot point. Don't let us down Cho (again).
