You're right, the Panthers wouldn't love to get rid of two poison pill RB contracts for guys who are severely overpaid. Long is one of the better LT in the game, and while Bradford may not be in Cam or Luck status, he's certainly capable of being a starting QB in the NFL.

gtfo...

Never once said I didnt want to get rid of those two contracts.

Be a smarter man please. Theres no way in hell we're able to rid those two contracts in on offseason.

You should really take Gman's position. I'll vouch for you. Not.

If you guys think cutting J-Stew isn't fair based on the rules DCK set up (dead money doesn't impact cap) I'll rescind that move. Just playing by the rules here, and cutting J-Stew makes sense for the Panthers from an X's & O's standpoint.

You really aren't good at this poo C47...

I'd really just override it myself now. Dont waste DCK's time.

I'd also do it fast before other huddlers see what a dumb move you just made.

Read the rules for cutting players and get back to me chuck...

What I did is completely within the rules set forward regarding cuts. If we were playing by real salary cap rules I would be making different moves, but we're not so I made the ones that would make the most sense for the Panthers under this set of rules. Really not hard to figure out...

Also, I'm really not concerned with your opinion to be completely honest...

Yea, bc DCK think that you're smarter than that and he didnt need to tell you shit you should already know.

Stay realistic dude. Cutting both Dwill and Stew is not going to happen. You have a better chance of cutting Charles Johnson.

Just depends how you want to do it DCK.

Obviously in the real NFL releasing Bradford or probably even Jonathon Stewart wouldn't happen because the real world Cap consequences would be catastrophic.

It can be done inside this arena of course, the consequences here being draft picks will be completely different than they will be come NFL Draft Day.

Teams not even remotely in the hunt for a QB will be selecting at that position when in reality they won't be.

So a draft with some semblance to reality or what is transpiring here.

I know I make the argument every year that a straight draft would be more realistic but perhaps this is more fun(?).

I've said my piece.

Carry on!

Wouldn't surprise me at all if the Rams fall in love with a QB and if he's available at #2 they take him and cut Bradford, would save $10 million in cap space and free them from the fail that is Sam Bradford. I think Long will stay even with the injury, though if the Rams don't like a QB and don't want a DE or WR, they could draft an OT and cut long or play Matthews at RT with Long at LT.
