Creationism vs. Evolution: The Debate is Live Tonight

After two weeks of hype about a football game that turned out to be far less exciting than expected and after what feels like two months' worth of reports about wicked winter weather, it's nice to have something completely different to talk about — even if it's a topic that sparks heated discussion:

Tonight at 7 p.m. ET, it's evolution vs. creationism when Bill Nye "the science guy" and Ken Ham, founder of the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Ky., debate onstage (and live online, for free,

and
&feature=share).

This is an argument that may never be solved. Both sides have excellent points but they also have their flaws. Personally I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. This is going to be good.

I think you guys are looking at this in too surface level of a manner. Of course evolution is real, but the question is to what extent? In my view, there would have to be a mix of both. We are entirely much too complex of an organism to have stemmed from utter randomness and chance, especially considering the vast intricacy and mystery behind DNA. The universe and life in itself will forever be an enigma, which means in the end anything is possible and everything is a guess.

Ken Ham thinks the world was created 6000 years ago and that humans lived with dinosaurs.  He's an idiot.

Well that's a bummer. I've never heard of the guy until I heard about this event.

The premise behind this debate has some amazing potential in general, but I have a feeling it's not to go very deep now.
