This may put the first 2 days of free agency in a different and possibly more depressing light.

Number of players signed per position league-wide

Center - 5

Guard - 6

OT - 15

TE - 17

WR - 14

RB - 13

QB - 5

DT - 14

DE - 22

LB - 25

DB (S,CB) -40

League Total: 175

Panther Total: 4; Brockel, G. Williams, Gano, Hardy

** I may be off on the league total by 2-3...I got tired of counting.

** I didn't include ST

We re-signed Anderson and Dockery too... so I think we're pretty much done; time to gear up for camp.

Ron needs to go.

Considering he is the main reason we went 12-4 last year, you need to be quiet.

The Panthers are fighting with the Cowgirls for the no.1 spot next year.

Mitchell, Ginn and Blackburn were all signed at least a week after the start of free agency last year. Nobody was wild about their signings then, but look at everyone freaking out that they're leaving now. Gettleman is a great evaluator of talent. I truly believe that he will find treasure in someone else's trash yet again and make some great moves in the draft.

Also, doesn't anyone else wonder what's been going on with Silatolu and Kugbila and their rehab? I know they're not all pros, and one hasn't played an NFL snap, but Silatolu was a good road grader and looked promising, and Kugbila showed promise in college. I look at them as two extra draft picks this year. We don't know as much as the FO does about these guys and how they're progressing. We could be in a lot better shape than we realize.

I swear these first few days of FA have been worst than game day losses. I'm surprised the board hasn't crushed, yet.

Day 3 was when we started FA last year. One thing DG last year was rummaging through another teams garbage and coming up with some players. I hope he can pull it off this year

God these people are fickle bunch are they not! Last season it was "in Gettleman we trust" and Ron is great and so forth. No you all want their heads on a silver platter. DO YOU PEOPLE REALIZE that we are still hurting with the CAP! we are not going to make a big splash in FA for at least 2 more years. Give Gettleman a chance to fix what Hurney broke and then see what he does. But bashing him non stop after praising him all last season is just plain stupid!
