#3334819 Do you tip furniture delivery people?

Posted by -13 Amp- on Yesterday, 12:25 PM

I worked at Aaron's for 5 years and i rarely was tipped...

I would get a tip every now and then (pure tips i could count on both hands though) if i was to get any extra money they wanted me to do something extra...

Aarons has a rule that if its not an arrons product we cant touch it so we dont do haul aways and we aren't supposed so move anything, its a liability thing...

But people would often want us to move their old fridge or washer & dryer so we could install ours (they had a delivery scheduled and were told we dont move things, but they still made no effort to have it removed) and then offer a  "tip"...

and the delivery fee, the delivery drivers dont get any of that(at least not when i was with aarons)...thats what got us, they wouldnt think of tipping because they already paid the delivery fee...

But we did deliveries, returns and moves, some people would move multiple times a month...carrying the products up and down flights of stairs (apartments are common with aarons customers)...a tip woulda been nice, esp when they tipped the pizza boy

they talk about Napster, and Napster came after the IRCs and the IRCs are still around...Napster debuted in 1999...Music was being leaked out of the plant since before 1996 when Glover got the job there, Napster just helped spread it around the internet and stopped just being a local thing...(mainly the internet was growing, so as it got better, so did file sharing)

Also it debuted 6 months after Universal merged with Polygram and the Kings Mnt plant started pressing the Jay Z and Eminem albums

if Napster had a leaked album, it came from Glover and the Kings Mnt plant most likely...

Napster was just the most famous, but leaking albums and fuging up release dates was Glover

It's a great read even if you aren't from this area (Shelby/Kings Mnt)

Its about a dude that worked at the Polygram/Universal plant in KM and leaked all the major albums of the late 90's and early 2000s (Eminem, Jay Z, Blink 182, Kayne West, 50 Cent, Fall Out Boy etc)

we're trying to get on the level of the Packers and we're crying about FAs...

every one of the 60 players on the packers have been never played with another NFL team besides Peppers...

maybe Gett is planning for a team like that one day with his drafting...

Would they send him to look at guys we don't expect will be there for us? Honestly asking. No snark.

i would think so because you never know how the draft will turn out and someone who was thought to be "out of range" for you could be sitting there, it'd be nice to have actually scouted him...

isn't that kinda what happened with Star? most thought he'd be out of range and we "wished upon a falling star"
