#2864359 Have drop back quarterbacks been exposed?

Posted by -13 Amp- on 25 July 2014 - 11:42 AM

Before Russell Wilson, who can pass really well, superbowl champions are guys like Flacco, Manning, Brees, Brady, and other Manning. I think immobile, pass first guys are doing ok too.

Big Ben is conveniently missing

Yes this idea that the unbelievers are the big bullies and that believers are the ones constantly getting ridiculed and outcast is pretty ridiculous

Just like Charles Johnson was an elite player a few months ago as well

He wasn't listed as elite, people keep saying it but he was only outlined in blue, not soild blue and on the breakdown they list 0 elite players...and 4 high quality, count the dark greens, Luke, TD, CJ and Tolbert, he was however dropped from high quality to soild

Let's turn the clock back about three years to the days of LoneBucFan. I didn't think another rival fan could ever reach his level of trolling but Alice is right there. Only difference is that LBF actually trolled Panthers fans, while Alice's existence on this forum is really a case of masochism disguised as trolling.

I know him (LBF) and he really did it because he got a rise out of people, if the board would have just ignored him, he woulda been gone a lot faster, he did it for fun, he actually likes the panthers too (hes a bucs and panthers fan sorta like that poster here, falcons first panthers 2nd)

and i went to high school with TCF...hes exactly the same in real life...a lil worse because he tried to punk people down with fighting in real life, were as online he just throws hissy fits...one of his favorie insults in school i remember to this day was "f ag and a half"...and we've seen his anti-gay rants...

The funny thing about this is that the angle science generally takes doesn't allow for the evidence of a god to exist in the first place. Under science, things can only ever become "explained," which is a contradiction to the concept of "god." So with that being said, I think the "show me evidence" argument is a pretentious cop out considering their reference point.

Its not because its not allowed, it's because there isn't any evidence of god in the first place...

It is essentially the god of the gaps idea, you can't explain it or don't understand it god did it, but in Ken Ham's way it is God did it, no need for research...But like Neil Tyson says, if that's how you wanna play it then god is an ever-receding pocket of scientific ignorance....there are plenty of things in the past we didn't understand, now we do...and that will continue to happen

"Does it mean, if you don’t understand something, and the community of physicists don’t understand it, that means God did it? Is that how you want to play this game? Because if it is, here’s a list of things in the past that the physicists at the time didn’t understand [and now we do understand] [...]. If that’s how you want to invoke your evidence for God, then God is an ever-receding pocket of scientific ignorance that’s getting smaller and smaller and smaller as time moves on - so just be ready for that to happen, if that’s how you want to come at the problem."

While I know what you mean, the Bible is an interesting glimpse into ancient history, along with many other religious texts.  Like all of those texts, though, it's important to attempt to appreciate the conditions of the people doing the writing, you know?

Right, it lets people see what these writers thought like and what not in their writings, but to say all the stories in the bible are literal history is a whole other mess...

You can look at many old works of literature and get a historical glimpse but doesn't mean the story was literally true, i agree 100% with you on that

My mother was a teacher and (is) a christian and when i was a child she would read us bible stories before bed and i remember when she read us Noah's Ark, i asked her all these questions to try and put the story together in my head and i just couldn't see it (typical errors with that story, the HOW did he build that boat and how did he gather all the animals, and the bible says its 7 of all clean animals and 2 of the dirty ones, so it was a massive amount) and what she told me was its not a literal story as in it actually happened, its a story with a moral, its about re-birth and redemption and to think of it as a real story was missing the point...now that was her opinion (which many Christians share, i guess the ones who do not take the bible literally or creationists) but it made so much sense to me over the years when looking at religion as a whole...

well here is the mentality of people that think evolution is fake. when you see how deeply misinformed YECers are as to what science actually is it's no wonder that can so casually dismiss it categorically and confirm their own beliefs

Someone took the time to answer every one of those

one quote from it is so perfect for this thread...

"But “I don’t know” is an acceptable answer in science. It leads to asking more questions, which leads to more exploration, which leads to more understanding. Just being given an answer is like using the answer key to fill in a crossword puzzle. It’s no fun."

I have a friend who is a Panthers fan but he's stuck living in the bay area and he explained to me Colin's press conference attire and why he wears what he does. Apparently Colin met a young guy (18-20ish) at training camp last summer who is trying to start his own clothing line and he offered Colin some free clothes to help spread his name. He's a kid who grew up in the projects and is trying to get away from that lifestyle by starting his own business. Colin started wearing his clothes at press conferences to support him.

Do I still think Colin is a douche? Yep. I still can't stand that smug dude. There are plenty of things he does that deserve the criticism it gets but I don't think his dress attire should be one of them. That's a pretty cool thing he does for that kid.

They ask everyone else about his post-game dress except him, they should ask Colin himself so he can name drop that kid and his clothing line...no one knows who made what unless the question is asked in regards to his clothing

#2622205 Is the NFL rigged?

Posted by -13 Amp- on 19 January 2014 - 04:02 PM

The New York Jets weren't good enough war propaganda. The New England PATRIOTS were. Look at the Patriots in the years leading up to 9/11. A really mediocre team. It would be like if the Modern day Rams started winning Super Bowls all of a sudden.

The Jets werent some powerhouse then, they werent in the playoffs for 2 seasons before that year and they were the "city" hit with the 9/11 horrors...any football nonsense isn't a "war propaganda"...but if their rigging games and giving things to citys for tragedies (like is claimed with Katrina)

New York makes much more sense then the team that just so happens to be called the Patriots
