#3207380 What receiver do you want the panthers to draft?

Also he ran a 4.37 40 at 6'6!

I've been doing some reading on Dorial Green Beckham. I'm guessing most of you may not know why his last name is hyphonated. He is a special talent and has the skills to be something very special in this league. In an environment with lots of support (Cam/Davis/ron etc) he could absolutely flourish. I'd take a chance on him and draft him.

That story about broken legs mentions and Audi and BMW which clearly isn't involved here.

A car crashed and overturned on the Church Street bridge over I-277 about 12:30 p.m. and ambulances are on the scene. A second car involved in the crash is also in the road, near Hill Street.

An Observer photographer at the scene said Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was injured in the wreck.

Rescuers have closed outbound Church Street at Stonewall.

More details upcoming.

#2794904 Fantasy football ranks and CAR

Posted by CAPantherFan on 20 May 2014 - 08:27 PM

Love Fantasy football and it's offseason so I thought I'd post this.

Cam ranks 4th.  Definitely someone I'd take in the 1st round of FF draft

DeAngelo finally shows up at 38 and Stew at 57!  Tolbert makes an appearance at 73.

Cochery at 67.  Kelvin at 77.  Not surprised here...

Olson comes in at 7.

CAR in 2nd place above SF but below SEA.

While these are merely FF rankings it does kind of say something about the strengths and weaknesses of each time and how they compare to other teams, don't you think?

Wait didn't we have one of the worst receiving core in the league last year?

#2686789 Steve Smith Will Not Be In a Panthers Uniform Next Season

Posted by CAPantherFan on 12 March 2014 - 12:51 PM

Handled very poorly.  This is a shame.  Gettleman did/does some great things but this is almost embarrassing.

Of course if we're winning next season all of this will be quickly forgotten about and we'll all think he's a genius in the end.  If we suck next year the pressure will increase on Gettleman for completely blowing this and making a horrible decision.

#2482555 Would you be opposed to a Julio Jones type draft day trade for a stud WR?

Posted by CAPantherFan on 11 November 2013 - 09:31 PM

Good Lord some of you are stupid.  To even suggest such a thing shows your lack of knowledge in football matters.  Thanks God you aren't our GM.

I bet you would have agreed with Mike Ditka trading his entire draft for Ricky Williams...

Who resurrected this thread?  Clearly I was wrong here.  Happy to admit it....

#2425818 Cam haters please check in here!

Posted by CAPantherFan on 13 October 2013 - 02:54 PM

I'll chime in.  Yep I was hard on him last week.  He played fantastic today and I couldn't be happier!  I WANT Cam to do well.  I want the Panthers to win.  But if a player has a bad game or if he hasn't played up to his expectation he going to get criticized.  Hell look at a couple articles in the Charlotte Observer questioning whether he's the long term solution and that he's running out of chances.  He came back after a terrible game last week and played awesome today.  That's what I expect ever game.  Here's to hoping he can build off this win and keep it up.

But you cannot sit here and tell some of us we can't criticize Cam.  Sorry but if you play like shyte you gonna get criticized.  If you play well than you are going to get praised....

#2416912 Geno Smith > Cam Newton

Posted by CAPantherFan on 07 October 2013 - 11:11 PM

He leads the lead in comeback drives....how many has Cam had this year?  How many has Cam had EVER???  When have you ever felt like in the last 2 minutes of a game Cam is going to lead us to victory?  How about ZERO.

Oh wait but I forgot - the Jets have drafted all these wonderful weapons to surround Geno and help him be successful.  Oh wait.....can anyone name his wide receivers?  How about his tight end?  How about those expense high draft running backs he has to help him be more successful???  Does anyone even have any Jets RB in their fantasy league?

But going back to Cam - clearly his biggest problem is the lack of weapons around him.  That's the reason...yep...

Shut up. We won. Let's enjoy it before we start bashing Rivera again.

#2382689 The Dreaded "A" Word

Posted by CAPantherFan on 16 September 2013 - 01:26 PM

So sad....we've waited all offseason for training camp, endured training camp to get to pre season and endured pre season to get to the regular season and within two weeks the seasons over for us.  Sure we may win some games - heck maybe we make another run when it doesn't matter again...but most likely we'll be talking about next years draft sooner than later.  It seems so long ago when we were competitive and games mattered....

#2370398 Ranking the Young QB's According to ESPN

Posted by CAPantherFan on 11 September 2013 - 12:52 PM

These things will never change until the Panthers can win some games. Why would they?

Exactly.  Until we start winning some games we will get NO respect.  And we shouldn't.

Gman said it - it's time to start winning Cam....
