I never even visit the All-Pro section. I treat my sub as a donation to help keep this place going because we all know that no other independent forum dedicated to their NFL team can match this one. No donations = Saints Report type failure on game day.

I was around in 2003 and then again in 2008 with few breaks here and there, even suffering thru a ban or two just like everyone else who decided to drunk post late at night.

Our mods are fair, our forum is always open and $5 is better spent here than on some shitty cup of coffee at Starbucks.

My only suggestion is to allow 'gift subscriptions' where we can award someone who is a great poster but can't afford it

Tom Friedman's resume reads like someone who would be perfect for the job.  Certainly has the right background.

Frieden graduated from Oberlin College (BA, 1982), Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (MD, 1986) and Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health (MPH, 1985). He completed training in internal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and sub-specialty training in infectious diseases at Yale University.

Head of New York Public Health department, Officer for the World Health Organization.

Don't see how his appointment can be construed as political.

He's a career CDC guy going thru the motions for years, moving up the ladder based on those worthless government appointments and waiting his turn. It was his turn regardless of who was in the WH. Right now he seems lost and overwhelmed, providing contradicting information about the disease and being dead wrong about hospital staff at any given city in the US being ready to treat it. Now they're moving patients to Atlanta after realizing that Dallas (or any hospital like Bumfug, IA) is not ready for it.

We're supposed to turn to CDC thinking everything is going to be alright. Instead we have a nurse flying around the country with one of the first symptoms of the disease being ignored. She was more of a threat to anyone around her than that first patient from Africa.

Will he go? I doubt it. Everything always turns political with Democrats trying to assure everyone that everything is under control and Republicans using it as a talking point to win the mid-terms. You can see some posters here falling for it again and again.

If this was 2013 he would have been fired by now and with good reason. Instead, right wing nut jobs will secretly hope for more infections just like their counterparts cheered our economic collapse in 2008.

What's fuged up is that we don't even have a Surgeon General right now to take charge because politics...

nurses in dallas are threatening to walk.

Healthcare workers don't even know what is going on for the most part and yet we are wanting TSA people to screen for this.  TSA and airport workers will be next to walk.

We're not the greatest generation that's for sure

I would say close the border but then what? Are we gonna ground every flight from anywhere in Texas and seal that state off as well?

Yeah I agree those on the plane with Duncan don't seem to be sick. Hopefully those that flew even went to get checked. There would have been symptoms by now.
The double challene is the health care workers and they being clumsy and then not only working with others but if they are to sick to help others that adds an extra drag on capable manpower at the local hospital.

That was because he wasn't sick at the time. It is said that she was already feeling hot with fever during the flight. Totally different. And it's fuged
