#3220175 Football vs. Vajayjay? For humor. Curmudgeons & stick-in-the-muds need n...

You can tell the age of the poster by how quickly and to the point he chooses sex.

I'd most likely choose football, but would need to preface that answer with a question. Are we talking 2010 Panthers football or Cam Newton/Dave Gettleman era you feel like the team is always competitive style football?

Because I would stop watching the 2010 trainwreck and turn the TV off if Shawshank Redemption was on Showtime let alone if the wife was feeling frisky.

#3216213 Deflate-Gate: Patriots Possibly being Investigated For Deflated Footballs

Can someone tell me why every gotdamn scandal in the world needs the word gate as a suffix? Like there wasn't any scandal prior to watergate? Deflategate has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life, and if you are a professional journalist using that word you should kill yourself.

It would be the most absurd thing in NFL history to suspend anyone for this lmao

The real embarrassing thing is that a DB and a defensive lineman can catch Andrew Luck's properly inflated footballs better than his WR's can.

Unfortunately, the NFL is in a really tough spot with this, because it will cause a suspicion to be cast over the biggest game of the year. That being said, here's how I see it playing out:

The referees check the balls and hold them right up until game time. They are then given back to each teams equipment manager.

The NFL absolutely cannot afford to suspend Billichek or Brady or have there legacy even more tarnished by this poo, because Bob Craft has Goodell in his pocket.

So either a ball boy or equipment manager or both will take the fall for this and say they did it without Brady or BB's knowledge. They will say they knew Tom preferred to use a less inflated ball, so they did it without his knowledge or consent to try and help him out. That guy will be the patsy in this (much like the videographer in spygate), and the Patriots juggernaut will keep moving forward.

Maybe a loss of some sort of a draft pick but I doubt it because again, they'll say it was done without organizational knowledge.

10 years from now, or right around the time Brady is due to enter the HOF, the ball boy will get a check for $50K from TMZ for telling his story and for providing evidence that BB and Brady DID in fact know about it and more drama will come up, with the faux outrage and the whole bit.

That's how I see this going down.

Honestly I would love to re watch the game. I'd like to go play by play and see how many non-Patriot hands touch the ball after each offensive Patriot play. Between the other team and the refs and everything there has to be over a hundred times that the balls were touched (let's be grown ups here) without someone noticing the significant difference until one guy on the Colts noticed something.

Presumably then they would have used another ball that the Patriots scored 28 unanswered points with.

I know if it was our team I'd probably be bitching a lot more but until I seem some irrefutable timeline I'm gonna wait to destroy Brady and Bellichik, even though I'd love too.

So it was found that 11 of 12 patriots balls were under inflated.

I still couldn't care any less. The refs have multiple opportunities between every single play to see if the ball has been altered. So it is obviously so insignificant of an amount that they didn't notice it even though the side judge, linesman, and referee all touch the ball almost before every play.

And they scored 28 points after this was supposedly brought to their attention.

The Colts are reaching new lows with this silly poo.

#3215241 So tell me

Posted by Montsta on 20 January 2015 - 10:44 PM

I think for me it's how unbelievably lucky the team is. Don't get me wrong, yall are extraordinarily talented, but a lot of things in football aren't about skill or coaching or preparation. Like Wilson fumbling 12 times this year and recovering all 12. The way he throws up a football 100 feet into the air and his guy brings it down with zero resistance from the safety. Those things simply don't happen to the Panthers and thus I get envious, and envy turns into bitter hate.

My dad has been a painting contractor for 34 years. That basically qualifies me as a painter. So if you guys wanna talk latex paints, I'm your guy.

#3208529 Ravens tell Smith to take a little time out

Posted by Montsta on 17 January 2015 - 01:21 AM

I just literally posted an article with Lafell crediting smith

yet another one........you got your proof so now it's time to find some more excuses

it's more logical that smith got released because of money then supposedly not mentoring wr's

please don't respond if it's going to be some generic response like your last post

Lafell also just stated in an article on espn "I played with Steve Smith for the last four years," LaFell explained. "When I first got to Carolina, he told me, 'If you're not catching balls and blocking, I'm not talking to you.'"

So it's not out of the realm of logical thought that maybe there is a small chance that Steve Smith didn't take the time to deal with young receivers if he felt like they weren't putting in the work. That could mean every receiver that came through during his tenure, or it could have been none.

#3208125 Panthers in talks w/Josh Norman about extension

I'd say if you offered him 3 years structured at $4MM, $6MM, and $8MM with maybe $6-7MM guaranteed that'd be fair for all parties.

That gives him terrific earning potential without hamstringing the team with another shitty contract.

Oh, and don't forget to check your boxes when interviewing someone :lolu:

I was wondering how many times they were going to refer to checked boxes. That must be the niners fanbase new equivalent to it is what it is or the answer is sometimes on the roster lol

I know people think that because Gettleman cut Smitty, that anyone is vulnerable.

While technically I'm sure that is more or less true, comparing a Thomas Davis to a Steve Smith is just irresponsible. Something will get done with Davis' contract to retain him, I'm almost certain of that.

It was veiled, but implied that one of the reasons they parted ways with Harbaugh was because he didn't say hello to Joan in Accounting or Vilma at the front desk, and because he didn't pickup trash in the locker room. They felt those were key things a head coach should be doing to support the team. To have some humility because the difference between confidence and arrogance is ignorance. Tomsula actually said Joan in Accounting is his financial advisor as well. I swear I'm not making this stuff up. What a trainwreck. I will love the taste of 49er tears for years to come.

If y'all lived in the Bay Area you would have gotten to enjoy 3 hours of sports talk radio absolutely ROASTING the niners after their trainwreck of a presser today. I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you can listen to Damon Bruce clips from 95.7 the game I highly recommend you do so for this afternoon. Maybe iheartradio or something will have it? Don't know how that works.
