#3255626 NFL: Greg Hardy won't be reinstated because he hasn't been discipline...

Posted by Montsta on 26 February 2015 - 05:12 PM

didn't read the whole thread and i'm not likely to, but hardy wasn't exactly disciplined. he was basically given a $13mil paid vacation with no responsibilities.

How the hell is that being disciplined?

I fully understand that part and you are absolutely right.

My issue is this exempt list is the Guantanamo Bay of the NFL. You get put on it for a year with no hint of a resolution until the trial ends, then his case is dismissed completely and still no resolution and now they say he can't come off before being punished.

They need to take him off the fuging black hole abyss that is the exempt list so they can dish out an appropriate punishment so teams know what they are getting from Greg Hardy the free agent.

This whole thing is completely bogus man.

I understand a 17 game paid suspension doesn't count as punishment in the NFL world. But this exempt list is the fuging Guantanamo Bay of the NFL. No resolution to any problems just keep the poo quiet. They need to reinstate this man so they can dish out a punishment so any team bidding on his services knows what they are getting.

Also Igo called this 6 months ago.

I'm sick of Greg Hardy threads as well, but this is bullshit. The NFL is just mad because Hardy's legal team won't give them the transcripts of the bullshit bench trial that they paid to have done themselves.

fug you NFL.

#3254980 WTF is this about a Dez Bryant video worse than Ray Rice's?

Posted by Montsta on 26 February 2015 - 08:59 AM

http://profootballta...ing-dez-bryant/

Annnnnnnd it starts.

Looks like someone called the cops to report a woman being dragged from one car to another, but Dez and his friends all said it was someone else doing the dragging. Because of the media's hyperbolic irresponsible reporting of the Greg Hardy case, I'm gonna give Dez the benefit of the doubt until a video pops up.

But these media types are relentless so if a video does in fact exist, Dez is fuged.

#3254466 Mike Tolbert Attended DeAngelos Moms Funeral

Does anyone know if DW went to Jon Richardson's funeral in 2013 or if he was in the hospital waiting room for Jerry's heart transplant surgery in 2009?

You mean guys can get cut and leave gracefully?

Color me shocked.

If the meeting went well could explain Byron Bell's social media farewell.

If the club had a good inclination that they had a nice Target replacement they could have told Bell it's been real but find a job some place else.

#3253501 All-Pro Questions Answered

Going All Pro was the single best decision I've ever made in my life.

It helped my professional career, I lost ten pounds and my love life is now wild and kinky.

10/10. Would recommend.

I bought a 3 wolves howling shirt on Amazon that changed my life.

Going All-Pro is wedged in-between that decision and marriage.

Which one is on top I'll let you boys guess.

#3253488 So how do we restructure/extend Charles Johnson?

Posted by Montsta on 24 February 2015 - 09:44 PM

I think people are just so butthurt over Hurney that they completely oppose the idea of paying players good money now. That's really the only reason I can see why people are seriously discussing cutting Greg Olsen, Charles Johnson, and Cam Newton. It's completely delusional.

Charles Johnson has never been an overwhelming DE in the 20 sack JJ Watt sense. But even with his injuries and slow starts he has been a pretty solid presence on our D line for a long time. He goes after the QB like a boss but still performs decently against the run.

People lose sight of things and think 16 sacks a year is somehow the norm when in reality if you have a DE steadily around the 10 sack mark he is certainly helping. Maybe not killing the world, but doing his job well I think.

#3253473 What was funny before internet memes?

Posted by Montsta on 24 February 2015 - 09:30 PM

I'm old and can't remember. I distinctly remember being funny as a young man but now if it isn't an internet meme it just doesn't do it for me (thanks jangler).

#3253472 So how do we restructure/extend Charles Johnson?

Posted by Montsta on 24 February 2015 - 09:27 PM

He was leg-whipped after an excellent opening in 2013 and didn't fully recover until about midway through this season. PFF rated him as the best DE over the final stretch of this season. There is absolutely no way he is cut.

And the apparently-not-so-common-common-sense-award goes to...

I do not see Gettleman keeping Charles Johnson. Would not be the least bit surprised if you see Charles Johnson and Greg Hardy playing together again with the Atlanta Falcons.

Gettleman LOVES defensive lineman. Outside of Charles Johnson right now we have a bunch of jags. Chuck J isn't going anywhere. He will be extended to a mutually beneficial deal and there will be much rejoicing.

Like when they ate Sir Robin's Minstrels.
