#3321575 Panthers to work out Agholor

Posted by Riverboat Ron on 14 April 2015 - 03:29 PM

If nothing else, this draft season has taught me that message board members love to judge wide receivers (and probably other positions) based upon initial rankings and mocks, no matter what media analysts, scouts, or football executives are purported to say about later evaluations of actual game tape, the combine, pro days or private workouts.

This is just further evidence that people just don't have the will to pay attention, the time to pay attention, the interest, are really not as knowledgeable about the nuances of the evaluation process, or the position, as they would lead you to believe---or a combination of all or part of the above.

Receivers are my thing, and I am telling anyone that wants to listen that Agholor is going to be solid. The only reason that he does not get the buzz of those ranked higher is because of their perceived upside. Does their upside and size trump his versatility and skill, but perceived lower ceiling on day one? Ultimately he is going to be a good receiver, and he would fit into our offense almost perfectly.

Are you crazy? My draft magazine I purchased in November says he's a 3rd rounder, why would it lie to me? Everyone knows draft stock doesn't change over time, I have in print!

Shula would make an offense with Calvin Johnson, Aj Green and Demarious Thomas paired with dual TE sets of Graham and Gronk rank 20th or worse.

I'd cut open Alice and sleep in him for warmth like Luke on Hoth.
