#2910273 Panthers Cuts 8-26

Posted by fieryprophet on Yesterday, 12:49 PM

Georgia's offense is less spread than traditional pro style. Bobo ran a facade of a spread offense while Murray was there. Anyway...

Hill has been a bust of epic proportions, much like Greg Little. King hasn't had that opportunity. Why do people think that the Jets acquired Decker and drafted OBJ and Jace Amaro? Jeremy Kurley outplayed Hill for goodness sakes.

OBJ is a Giant.

We use IR like a piggy bank.

I'd prefer keeping 6 WRs to 5 TEs. KB, Cotch, Avant, Bersin, King, and Philly.

If we're hanging onto McNeil just for his blocking BWill has shown plenty to take that role.

you hit the nail.  totally didn't think of ray lewis, but yeah kuechly reminds me of ray lewis.     kuechly is the next great QB of the defense from my eyes.  i don't know kuechly in detail. is he a leader of man?  does he live football like how singletary or ray lewis lived football?  i don't really  know much about him outside of what i see on the football field(which is greatness), but IMO, this kid will be one of the top 5-6 face of the nfl.

He's obsessed with football. Every indication from coaches and teammates is that he basically has no life away from the field.

Don't let the stories surrounding Cam fool you, he's just as fanatical. Every offseason he comes to the stadium and continues his routine of watching film and preparing for teams even if his season is over all the way through Super Bowl week. He says he does it because as long as football is being played his season is not over.

I know this is tough for Carolina fans to believe, but the truth is, Bill really does not give a poo about the Panthers vs. other teams in the preseason.

This was not the Patriots getting all amped up, it was the Patriots executing.  The Patriots defense is not the Panthers, but they were quite solid before losing 6 starters.  They are now healthy and should be in the top 10, not the best, but if Gronk is back healthy, the Patriots will have an top 5 offense once again.   Its preseason but its ok to give credit where credit is due, Patriots were the far superior team....not because the Panthers beat themselves.

Carolina had a nice season last year, now try doing that more than 1 year.  By the way, Lafell is going to be the #4 receiver at best and #5 target overall.  Carolina has no real receivers, only a good TE in Olsen.  Make the playoffs a few years, have a winning season more than 1 year in a row before crowing about how great the team is.

Are you actually reading what people here actually post or do you assume because we don't all fall down and immediately fellate your shittastic team that we're trying to pretend the game never happened? Get a clue, get the f*ck off our board, and shut the hell up.

I had a bad feeling all week when I read how the Patriots were treating the game and knowing we were not treating it the same way. I steeled myself for a poor performance and wasn't surprised to see it. If anything, I was pleasantly surprised with KB and the defense until Kuechly left.

I'm over it now, though. We could have won 30-7 and it still would be meaningless overall.

Or. . .it's preseason.

Panthers fans looking for any excuse why they got destroyed but everyone knows last season was a fluke, it's back to 6-7 wins like the Panthers are supposed to be, you can adopt the Patriots are your playoff team once you're eliminated from contention in November.

Don't need to Panthers stinking up playoff football for my viewing, let the Saints a real football team get into the playoffs from the hideous hick South.

What's with the animosity? It's a preseason game. if you get your rocks off by outcomes that have no effect on what counts, then by all means feel like we're insulting your team. I'm talking to Panthers fans, not your asinine fanbase. Enjoy your preseason win and go the hell back to your own bridge, troll.

The team needs reliable depth on the OL whichever way you spin it.

One guy behind both starters at OT isnt going to cut it.

That I strongly agree with, our backups might eventually be good but they are rawer than SuperJ's vadge right now.

Jammal Brown, hasn't he not played in 3 years?

You forced me to PIE Big A, SuperJ. This is how wrong you are. I just PIEd our resident Saints refugee.

Only a little disrespect intended, A ;)

They are already out there as well.

Jammal Brown

Jared Gaither

Max Starks

Jammal Brown has been out of the NFL since 2011.

Jared Gaither was so lazy he got dumped a year into a four year contract, is a noted locker room cancer, and has been out of football for over a year.

Max Starks actually graded worse than Byron Bell and is fighting to keep his career alive.

Wow, the fact that these are your answers tells me all I need to know about how little you know about football.

Lord, the Huddle is so predictable.

1, 1A, 1B, 1C. It's preseason.

2. See #1.

3. We played our dress rehearsal Sunday against the Chiefs. The Patriots played their dress rehearsal tonight. We did not do much in the way of game-planning, hence the consistent failures on 3rd downs as our base defense held up nicely but succumbed to some well-designed 3rd down plays.

4. The Panthers obvious offensive focus was on passing plays no matter the coverage. Cam called no audibles and they did not give him a called running play. He also did fine overall, but was clearly not ready to pull the trigger on receivers other than Benjamin since he seems not to be able to anticipate their breaks. It's all timing that has to be ironed out, and soon.

5. Kuechly left the game long before most of the defensive starters, and a lot of the late coverage lapses came when Klein tried to handle the MLB duties on his behalf, including a few blown plays by Klein himself. It happens, but they were clearly trying to get A.J. some more experience at running the defense since he is also the primary backup for Keuchly.

6. Chandler Jones is a not a scrub, and Byron Bell only got beat badly by him once on an inside move, and it looks like he was expecting help from Silatolu.

7. Our OL depth is just bad; not necessarily from a lack of talent, but just sheer rawness and inexperience.

8. Swole Bones continues to make great plays, even when he's chasing down interceptors from half a field away.

9. I'm really getting concerned about Cam and Cotchery. They just don't seem to be in the same area code offensively.

10. Bersin has to make this team, he's just doing everything the right way. King helped himself again as well.

11. Fozzy continued to run hard, but the holes weren't there.

12. Philly Brown got a chance to show some moves, even if flags negated the gain.

13. Kelvin Benjamin is still beasting, and the Patriots eventually went to rolling coverage to him. This is exactly what we wanted from him; a player that demands double teams and opens things up down the middle for Olsen.

14. That Tom Brady guy might actually be pretty good, and we barely squeaked past this team last year when it mattered. We played a good team half-assedly in a meaningless game and the scoreboard reflected that. It hurts the pride but it's irrelevant beyond that.

15. Coaches love these kinds of games: much of the scoreline can be attributed to mistakes, not being physically outplayed, and mistakes can be corrected. So in an exhibition you took a quality teams best shots and get lots of film to take back and correct issues, and you get to bust your team's ass a bit in the process.

In summary, keep calm and stop Huddling.

Bell's performance tonight was not starting LT material. And he is too comfortable with knowing that nobody can replace him. Hideous run blocking and getting bulled rush is not the way to repeat a 12-4 season.

Let's see how smart you really are: who is a player that is starting LT material who will be available on the waiver wire?

Name me one player. Just one. If you can't, then shut the hell up.
