#3325653 In case Hillary keeps stumbling

Posted by google larry davis on Yesterday, 04:16 AM

If business can't survive paying a living wage they are bad at business.

Reminds me when south said agriculture couldn't survive without free labor

it must be pretty infuriating for good businessmen to see capital being wasted by idiots who can't run a business without government subsidizing the paychecks of their employees. this of course assuming that capitalism could ever function well without the state holding its hand every step of the way (outside of the classroom of course)

on one hand the cops should have went in with a better plan and not killed anyone but otoh they showed a relatively high degree of restraint (relative to literal executions) after poo got out of hand. does anyone else think more of that family would be dead after the cop got shot with his own gun, if they had failed the paper bag test?

i like the obvious implication that everyone is facing this level of oppression but "the left" only cares because black people are finally being oppressed as well. cops aren't coming for your guns. they're not going to shoot you for not paying taxes. if you're white you're actually relatively safe to carry and use drugs, among other crimes (statistically less likely to be stopped, searched, charged, tried, convicted, and sentenced). "the left" has been pointing out how racist our society is for some time now while the right has attempted to co-opt and pervert left wing messaging

ive asked this question here many many times now and ive never gotten a straight answer: if the existence of the state is the cause of the black community's troubles, why then do they overwhelmingly support its existence while remaining very suspicious of the arguments of those who claim to "care about the rights of everyone"? why do they keep voting for liberals when it's so obvious that liberals are the True Racists™ and the good dr paul has their best interest in mind? why do they chant "hands up don't shoot" and tweet "#blacklivesmatter" when they could be chanting "defeat the washington machine, unleash the american dream" and voting republican?

Hey guys remember a couple of years ago when 90% of the tinderbox poo-pooed "cop threads" on the basis of hyperbole of the use of the term "police state".

Glad it took only a bajillion of these happening and black people getting super pissed everywhere for some of you on the left to even give a sh*t.

Good times.

yeah all of a sudden police are treating black people like poo and suddenly everyone cares

90% of posters may have "poo pooed" cop threads but it may have had something to do with the OP of 90% of cop threads being pasty libertarians who simultaneously deny institutional racism yet decry our nazi police state that sends MEN WITH GUNS to collect taxes

#3319232 New generation

After decades of waiting, the much-anticipated mass Baby Boomer die-off should finally commence within the next five to ten years, Census Bureau officials said Monday.

"I am pleased to announce that it won't be much longer now," Census Bureau deputy director Arthur Clausewitz said at a press conference. "According to our statistics, by 2009, we should see the Baby Boomers start to die off in large numbers. Heart attacks, strokes, cancer, kidney failure—you name it, the Boomers are going to be dropping from it."

Clausewitz said the Great Boomer Die-Off should hit full stride in approximately 2015, when the oldest members of the Baby Boom generation—born during the last days of World War II—turn 70.

"Before long, tens of millions of members of this irritating generation will achieve what such Boomer icons as Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Timothy Leary and John Kennedy already have: death. Before long, we will live in a glorious new world in which no one will ever again have to endure tales of Joan Baez's performance at Woodstock."

Despite his enthusiasm, Clausewitz cautioned that the Great Boomer Die-Off will not be without its downside.

"Our nation must steel itself for one vast, final orgy of Boomer self-obsession as we are hit with a bewildering onslaught of magazine pictorials, hardcover coffee-table books and multi-part, Motown-soundtracked television specials looking back on the glory days of the 1960s," Clausewitz said. "But once this great, final spasm of nostalgia passes, the ravages of age will take its toll on boomer self-indulgence, and the curtain will at long last fall on what is regarded by many as the most odious generation America has ever produced."

Clausewitz also noted that the cost of caring for the elderly and infirm of the nation's largest demographic group will be enormous.

"The selfishness that has been a hallmark of the Boomers will continue right up to the very end, as they force millions of younger Americans to devote an inordinate amount of time and resources to their care, bankrupting the Social Security system in the process," Clausewitz said. "In their old age, the Boomers will actually manage to take as much from the next generation as they did the previous one, which fought WWII so that their Boomer children could have Philco TVs and Davy Crockett air rifles."

The Great Boomer Die-Off will have its greatest impact, experts say, in the economic sector. The funeral industry is expected to enjoy a $700 million surge in profits, a result of the inevitable onslaught of lavish, Big Chill-themed memorial services. Many industries, however, will likely suffer from the die-off, including the manufacturers of sport-utility vehicles, home jacuzzis and hair-replacement systems. The financial sector will also feel the hit, as it is forced to fill some 400,000 high-paying stockbroker and corporate-banking jobs, held for decades by ex-hippies.

"It's not exactly clear how, but for the past 40 years, this generation has managed to keep the spotlight on itself," Brown University history professor A. Thomas Raymond said. "The era-defining flower children of the '60s, hedonistic disco-goers of the '70s, BMW-driving yuppies of the '80s and graying private-investor homeowner parents of the '90s all have one thing in common: They're all Boomers."

"It takes a staggering amount of effort to keep oneself the focus of an entire society for one decade, much less four, but the Boomers somehow pulled it off," Raymond continued. "Thankfully, though, their reign will soon come to an end. It's just too bad so few of them died before they got old."

She won't win the nomination if Elizabeth Warren runs

yes she would. warren's campaign would get eaten alive by the democratic machine and corporate media. you may think red-baiting has lost its impact now that everyone to the left of pinochet is open to accusations of secret communist loyalties but i assure you it can and would get much worse if warren were to run.

wrong

ok good the shooting wasn't justified so now we can stop pretending that the victim's actions had anything to do with his death. it's needless blame shifting to say that the victim shouldn't have gotten out of the car or shouldn't have left his house that day or shouldn't have lived in sc or whatever the fug when the context is his brutal execution at the hands of this pig. the victim didn't contribute to his death in any way and, while officer porky may have been looking for any excuse to execute him, that is entirely irrelevant because at the end of the day he had no valid reason to do what he did. please, please just stop embarrassing yourself. literally everyone itt saw through your posts. just stop.

Calling me out? Lol

Why wasn't he shot while sitting in the car?

Ya know. I won't get answer but some deflection to make it look like the narrative you want it to be.

yeah and why wasn't that slut raped while sitting at home, wearing a chastity belt?

unarmed ppl who pose no threat to others should be free to run from the police without fear of being executed and to suggest otherwise is textbook victim blaming. nothing the victim did should have resulted in his execution, despite your unconvincing concern trolling

In all seriousness they're it doing to white people now, so stuff will actually happen.

to this point ive noticed a subtle shift from some of the "it's not actually happening, you don't know what it's like for our brave boys in blue" types to "well ok it's happening but it's definitely not a racial thing" which is progress i guess?

I think there were several objectionable things in several different Ron Paul newsletters in the 90's.

no but see those articles that were signed with his name in the newsletters named after him that he personally operated were actually ghost written by his close personal racist friend therefore somehow that absolves him of all responsibility

what bothers me is that the victim is dead and the officer is facing a murder charge because the victim was unarmed. however, had the victim turned out to have been armed, that would have been used as justification for the cop's aggression. imo the victim had the right to defend himself the moment the cop started to murder him but had he actually possessed the means to defend himself it would have gone down as either a good shoot and a dead thug or the cowardly murder of a cop.

how on earth is this quantified over such a long period of time?

http://fivethirtyeig...isliked-to-win/

it's obviously impossible to assign a precisely accurate numerical value to a candidate's voting record relative to other candidates. however, analyzing data from ontheissues.org (a source ive seen cited here numerous times without issue) and actual congressional voting records appears to provide more meaningful information than consulting the gut feeling of a rando poster. pappy and randy paul have consistently demonstrated that they are far more reactionary than they're willing to let on in public, which is of course why their bases are made up of embarrassed republicans, anarcho capitalists, and literal white supremacists.

this about sums it up

the larger the disparity between public issue statements and voting record, the more full of poo you are. no one's falling for it guys. it didn't work for dr ron paul obgyn, and it won't work for rand.

I also see he is playing a game with the establishment like a snake charmer he has to be careful. He wants government out of marriage and I do to. The only reason it is an issue in the States is for a taxation issue. Sure bang your drums against him because he is playing chess with checker players.

the only moral pandering is his pandering?

gee idk when i can trust him. should i just wait for his words to be properly interpreted by his ba$e before coming to any conclusions? you know i respected his father for being relatively honest. he may have been a hateful bigot who preyed on the fears of scared right wingers but at least everyone knew it
