#2978822 The Rise and Fall of the 2012 NFL Draft

Posted by countryboi on 26 September 2014 - 09:40 AM

9. Luke Kuechly, LB, Carolina

A disaster who has done nothing but brought his franchise shame since being draf— oh, wait, I got confused. What is a superstar doing in the middle of this mess? Luke Kuechly fell on draft day because teams aren’t interested in using high draft picks on middle linebackers, so give deposed Panthers general manager Marty Hurney (and head coach Ron Rivera) a ton of credit. Kuechly has turned into a franchise cornerstone, winning defensive player of the year in his second season while quickly becoming football’s best middle linebacker. It’s going to be a joy to watch him play for years to come. Let’s just hope he’s not the next victim of this miserable class.

#2936178 QB Trade Speculation (Tin Foil Hats Needed)

Posted by countryboi on 08 September 2014 - 06:55 AM

man its way to hard to find a backup QB that doesnt mind being a backup to trade him for peanuts.

#2917342 Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Posted by countryboi on 30 August 2014 - 05:22 PM

I guess it really depends on the player. all things being equal it shouldnt matter where you are drafted but life is not equal

#2915450 Other NFL cuts of interest....

Posted by countryboi on 29 August 2014 - 06:13 PM

The Bills are shopping WR TJ Graham according to some weak rumors.

Strong rumors suggesting they are shopping OL Kraig Urbik, due $2.275mm IIRC. He would likely be an upgrade to the Panthers. No idea what he would be worth, but Panthers offering a conditional 5th or 6th...

depth at most. former Bill. Not exactly...well... don't like him.

Butler is a former Bill, maybe best only as a depth guy and a package player.

If the panthers are offering a 5th an OL then they don't like their OL as much as they say.

#2776173 Third Day Thoughts

Posted by countryboi on 10 May 2014 - 09:55 AM

I would really like to pick up deanthony thomas late...the kid is super raw right now but you can pencil him in at PR, KR right now while he works on moving from running back to slot WR. you cant teach world class speed

#2775422 Charles Johnson's Last Year?

Posted by countryboi on 09 May 2014 - 10:19 PM

why are we so quick to show CJ and Hardy the door for some kid that has not even played a down in the NFL yet. right now Ealy is a insurance policy

#2775405 Grade the Panthers Day 2 Draft

Posted by countryboi on 09 May 2014 - 10:17 PM

C, Ealy was great value but tough to use a use a second on a kid that is not going to play much when we have some major holes, Turner is going to help the running game from day one and has some major upside he kind of made up for the Ealy pick but I think a double up on OT, OG would have benefited the team more
