#3160372 Don't count the cardinals out just yet

I really wish people would stop drawing serious comparisons between 2008 and now.

Yes, it's a home playoff game that we are probably the favorite to win. But in pretty much every other way, this game is different from the one in 08.

rich cho would look like a genius right now had the NBA not screwed us out of Anthony Davis: moral of the story is the same with the NBA you have to either be a big name city or luck into Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis etc.

Without getting into the NBA possibly rigging the draft lottery, you're totally right on this. The only ways to achieve sustained success in the NBA is to luck into a star or two in the draft, or be a big market.

#3054442 Hornets win.... Panthers, you are up

Bucks are fuging awful

They're not as bad as you think. It's too early to make any firm judgments about them, but I doubt they will be as bad as they were last year. They could surprise a lot of people.

#2952893 The new screens at BOA

They do have ads on about half the screen during breaks in the action. But when the game is live or there is a replay to show, the ads disappear and you get Panthers football in HD.

Sitting on the couch in my apartment watching the Red Zone channel.

Refs were terrible no doubt, but we got outplayed that day.

Plus we played like we had never been there before.

Too many dumb personal fouls. RR needs to get that poo under control next playoff game.

Don't know why more people don't understand this. The refs were bad. But we didn't play that well. The refs did not cause us to lose by themselves.

#2826150 Straight up: Who are you sold on at #9?

Posted by PantherGuy on 20 June 2014 - 09:57 PM

I am sold on the shooting of Staskas and McDermott but not their defense

I am sold on the scoring ability of TJW but not his jump shot or court awareness.

I am not really 100% sold on any of them, but if I were they probably wouldn't be available at #9.

I do think this is a deep class where you will be able to get a quality player at #9 with several different options

Pretty much this. Not totally sold on any one player, but there also isn't any one player that I would hate to pick. We'll hopefully get a good player, but maybe not a really great player.

#2813635 49ers playoff game

Posted by PantherGuy on 08 June 2014 - 07:27 PM

while that was the worse officating I've ever seen, our Panthers had two opportunities on the goal line to score, giving us the win.

I was waiting to see if someone would say this. Refs weren't good, but we didn't play our best game in the 9ers' redzone.

#2795402 Favorite BofA Stadium moments

1. Hixon's catch against the Saints

2. Beating Jacksonville in 2003 opener

3. Beating Patriots in 2005

Edit: Also the playoff game last year. We lost, and Niners fans infested the stadium, but it was my first live playoff game that wasn't the Checkers. So that was cool.

Great. Now I will unavoidably hate Cooks. He seems so likable other than playing for the Saints.

#2766488 Which Channel do you watch the draft on?

Posted by PantherGuy on 08 May 2014 - 08:52 AM

I like Mike Mayock and the rest of the NFLN crew way more than the ESPN crew, so NFLN it is.

#2753390 will FAs want to come to Charlotte now?

Posted by PantherGuy on 27 April 2014 - 01:29 PM

Yep. We have the $ and we're not far off. We need a SG who can handle the ball and will shoot 3's (looking at you Hendo) and a bench that won't let the other team go on a 20-4 run.

Also, we got screwed at the end of the season. The Cats could have beaten (or at the very least kept it close in a long series against) any other team in the East. But, of course, we get screwed to get the Heat.

If only we had beaten the Celtics.

He isn't. He may be the most talented currently, but he is not the best. I can think of at least 10 guys I'd rather have on my team than him to give the team the best shot at winning.

Who are these guys you'd rather have over LeBron?
