Saints still signing players, Champ Bailey to 2 yr deal

04 April 2014 - 02:48 PM

#Saints have agreed to 2-year deal with CB Champ Bailey, per source.— Mike Triplett (@MikeTriplett) April 4, 2014

Also they signed a pretty good Safety from CFL named Marcus Bell who can be a situational player and depth behind one of the best safety tandems in the league of a Vaccaro and Byrd.

What their fans says about him:
"Saints fans are in for a real treat. Had the pleasure of watching him in Toronto for two seasons. Always around the ball, finishes every play, and plays with a chip on his shoulder. Really gonna miss him in Toronto, but wishing him all the best.

You've got yourselves a player, folks!"

Between Hicks and Tom Johnson, we've done pretty good recently with CFL players.

Also signed CB Derrius Brooks from CFL last week

Saints continue signing people although everyone here was laughing at how cap strapped the Saints were AGAIN and how they wouldn't be able to sign anyone AGAIN. And of course the team will be in cap hell and unable to make moves next year AGAIN, at least to people here.

.....meanwhile the Panthers rummaging through other teams trash bins for their players. Harper, Underwood, bringing in Decoud....Hahahaha. Gotta love the panthers fans motto "they may be terrible, BUT BEHIND OUR FRONT 7 ...."

Seems last years secondary was pretty awful behind THAT SAME FRONT 7, downgrading all those secondary players isn't going to help.

Does the Huddle post on gamespot?

29 March 2014 - 05:35 PM

So I was surfing the net on my daily walk with Bentley and came across this article about a game my nephew had recently bought and had been talking about. Then I got to the comments section and saw basically all the same smack talk as almost all the guys here. Well except for the peanut butter fueled bestiality story, Phil is like a super detective being able to figure that out for at least 3 people so far. I mean it must be pretty popular if half the people he doesn't like turn out to be doing it.

Anyway, I wonder if the same people here were making the comments on there, or is the Huddle playbook I wrote an actual internet playbook of smack? Maybe I can copyright it and make some $$$?

I highlighted Lewis vs. Jackson as one of the biggest matchups to watch, and Lewis definitely won this matchup. Jackson didn’t even have a single catch in the first quarter, and that is “shutting down” at its finest. While Jackson is a great receiver who had a terrific 2013 season, he just couldn’t get anything going against Lewis, who is extremely physical and one of the league’s best press corners. As expected, Jackson struggled with Lewis’s physicality and was unable to get off of the press.

Please sign this guy!

Panthers just upgraded! Harper >>> Mitchell

15 March 2014 - 06:03 PM

he's better than mitchell and we're paying him way less. personally i hate the motherfuger, but this is a good football decision.

Mitchell - 4 sacks, 3 QB hits, 4 QB hurries , 45 tackles, +2.5 pass rush grade, +3.2 pass coverage grade, 4 interceptions

Harper - 0 sacks, 2.QB hits, 5 QB hurries, 32 tackles, -2.6 pass rush grade, -1.2 pass coverage grade, 1 interceptions

At least Harpers overall season grade of -3.2 was an improvement over the -18.1 of previous year thanks to Ryan getting best out of players....I mean he was bad last year bc of he had to play with that terrible 4th ranked defense, wait till McDermott has Harper covering like Sherman and rushing like Allen. CHAMPIONSHIP! ROTFL
