#3031145 Rivera is Losing the Team

Posted by panthermonium on 19 October 2014 - 06:01 PM

Losing the team and not being a NFL coach are 2 different things. It's pretty rare a "players coach" like Rivera loses the team in terms of them wanting to play. You saw it with Fox. The team was awful during our 2-14 season but every game we came to play (hence close loses that year).

If you wanna argue that Rivera isn't a very good NFL coach, I can probably get behind that.

#3022597 Mild Concussion for Benji

Me too.

Can we, as fans, have any idea how bad it must be to be a millionaire by the time you are 23 years old?  To be overly famous, and get to play a childs game for a very very good living....that has to be the worst.

Weak response. Understand context.

#3018193 Sour Beer

Posted by panthermonium on 13 October 2014 - 07:02 AM

Wicked Weed is known for their sours so I bought the Genesis at good bottle a few weeks ago. I guess I can appreciate what they're going for but def not for me. If you close your eyes and take a drink you'll think you're drinking a sauvignon blanc. Just didn't have the body and mouth feel I'm accustomed to with the beers I normally drink.

Congrats on the child!

My little over 2 year old is Cameron. Great name for a boy, or girl (he's a boy).

Congrats again!

Jalapeño is money. Honey pie could be even more money. Solid local brew.

I cherish the bike/walk into work every morning getting to see the progress of the scoreboards. It's quite lovely.

I'd be ok with this draft very much. The first 2 picks had me at hello.

#2732958 Ricky Proehl and Don Gregory having dinner with WR Lattimer

Posted by panthermonium on 09 April 2014 - 02:17 PM

FWIW I asked @nfldraftscout about the panthers draft interests and I got this: http://twitter.com/n...942083049385984

I'm not going to say it's an absolute lock this guy is the pick at #28, but I swear I have this feeling that it could happen.

I just like everything I see about Latimer. He just passes the eyeball test to me. Like I've said in previous threads, if we've done our homework and fully evaluated what type of talent we think he is/going to be, I don't have a big issue taking him at #28. Like I said though that's just my opinion and I know a good bit of others disagree that it's waaaaaay to high to take him.

He is however my man crush for this year's draft.

#2727817 Walterfootball new mock

Posted by panthermonium on 05 April 2014 - 08:32 AM

Latest mock is BY FAR my favorite. If this were to happen, I'd go crazy:

1.) Beckham
2.) Kouandjio
3.) Latimer
4.) Steen
5.) Cockrell

Of course, this all means nothing but fun to think about.

Can someone edit this douchebag 's post?

#2218900 my take on kugbila...

Posted by panthermonium on 30 April 2013 - 06:01 PM

My one reservation (just like I had with silatolu) is the level of competition jump.

The other thing would be picking up the playbook.

Otherwise, I very much like what I see.

#2195122 Who Do You Want the Panthers to Draft at 14th Overall?

Posted by panthermonium on 15 April 2013 - 07:36 AM

I vote Tavon Austin. An unquestioned playmaker in all 3 phases of the game, gives Cam another weapon and can hopefully solidify the #1 position in a couple years once smitty's gone. He's really my top guy. I'd however would not have a problem if the pick was Allen, Hopkins, or Sly.
