#2952874 63.2% chance of making the playoffs.

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on Today, 06:49 PM

Last year we came back from terrible 0-2 start which gave us around an 11% chance of making the post season. We defied those odds and bullied our way into the postseason anyways. Out of the last 5 years we are the only team out of 60 playoff teams to make the post season after that start.

Jump ahead a year we sit at 2-0 atop the NFC south with a clear path to dominate. We defied odds last year but this year we aim to comply with the statistics.

Starting off strong has been a problem in the Rivera era but we seemed to have taken care of that problem in the 4th year.

Cheers to being in the drivers seat on the road to the playoffs.

Adult on adult violence = wrong

Adult on child violence = perfectly ok.

The most innocent group that can't defend themselves is perfectly fine to hit but a group that is capable is the most unthinkable.

If you hit your kids it's lazy parenting. I don't know maybe talk to your kids instead of hitting them?

the NFL is currently undergoing one of the worst PR nightmares of all time

In reality this effects them very little. 13 million people watched the ravens game last night and no sponsors have pulled money. If there is any brand or company that could absorb this it is the NFL

#2944361 So apparently Detroit media is turning "Donkey Kong Suh" into a racia...

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 11 September 2014 - 07:23 PM

I mean, it'd be one thing if this whole bit had been directed at some colossally arrogant prick who had a reputation for being a dirty player and deliberately trying to injure his opponents.

But all the world knows Ndamukong Suh as a kindhearted, gentle giant who'd never hurt a fly.

That's what makes it so hurtful

Doesn't seem like you have a bone to pick at all.

I read that filth. Wish I didnt. It's the kind of poo that pisses me off. People assuming things about other people's intelligence based on speech patterns (most of which are determined by who you grow up around and not necessarily education) and based on the Wonderlic.

Despite the fact that 90% of people have not taken a test like that at all. So many other factors determine performance on that test besides intelligence. Terry Bradshaw wasn't exactly a test taking stud either. Anyway. Whatever. fug them. Hope we dick stomp them and piss in their faces.

Pie for "dick stomp"

I wonder how many were from the observer he gave that answer to vs not from there. I heard sammi Jo actually move away from that direction of questioning when she understood what was going on. Props to her

And this has probably already been said, but Atlanta holds probably the richest African American population in the whole US. So his statements makes zero sense in this light.

#2938392 Cut or Keep Greg Hardy

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 09 September 2014 - 02:02 AM

Panthers would be wise to be proactive. Some things are bigger then football. I also know there are crazy women out there looking to extort players. What evidence are the Panthers aware of in the Greg Hardy case? How does it differ from Ray Rice's case? What we've learned from the Rice case is that sometimes the legal system doesn't get it right so teams shouldn't only use the results of the courts to make decisions. Hopefully the Panthers decide to conduct a further investigation aside from the results in the courts. This would allow us to avoid a future PR nightmare and distraction to the team. The truth is, the media is getting ready to hone in on the Hardy case.

If the Panthers know the details of the Hardy case (and the details end up being really bad) and are just trying to keep it quiet until the legalities play out don't they still have a responsibility ultimately to set an example for the community and do the right thing?

I'm all for for giving Greg a fair shake if the evidence is mucky. However if there's clear cut evidence that hasn't been made public the Panthers shouldn't waste any time parting ways.

Watching that video struck a chord for me because I grew up in a home that featured an abusive stepfather. I watched that video and it made me think back about some sour memories of what happened to my mother when I was young. I simply can't support a cover up for the sake of football and I'd like to think the Panthers hold themselves to a high moral code.

I really hope that Greg didn't act to the same extent as Ray Rice.....but if he did he just has to go.

Sorry that happened but you need to take your emotion out of this.

Looking at evidence or lack there of would show you this is nothing like the rice case and just shows that you are caught in the moment.

#2937786 Catching up with KB

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 08 September 2014 - 06:34 PM

Listen to cams words, then lukes, then star's then kelvins.

There is a common denominator. They are all team guys.

That's going to carry and be instilled in every single draft pick and player we get from here on in. This team is in VERY good hands.

#2934709 Peter King: Cam Newton virtually assured of starting next week.

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 07 September 2014 - 07:19 PM

Im just sayin.. Im just sayin. Im a Cam guy for sure, I want him over DA but business is business and if he struggles and we drop games, it has to be DA time. You have to keep emotions out of this

This whole post just shows how little grasp you have on the situation.

Cam would have played better than anderson if he was out there. Cam is the best QB on this team. There isn't a controversy. Yet we knew there would be dumb posters like you saying this after the win

Them announcing he will play next week just tells me he was ready this week but Rivera didn't want to risk it.

Glad everything paid off

Guys, this could end up being a very ugly downward spiral. Its a real possibility because of the amount of practice time Cam lost, the off season ankle surgery and now the ribs problem that we could have a QB controversy brewing.

What happens when Cam clearly struggles due to his injuries and little to no chemistry? you know good and well fans will be calling for DA. All it takes is one stellar performance by the backup for fans to keep it in the back or their mind.

Dont get me wrong, its a good problem to have when you have a backup thats that good, but still a problem nonetheless. Cam needs to come out against the Lions next week and play with an exclamation mark that he is back and can play like we know he can period.

God damnit.

Please take the poo posting elsewhere wtf?

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 07 September 2014 - 04:10 PM

That's silly. Cause anyone that watched this game, can see that DA has made some bad throws, but was just bailed out by his offense many times.

Panther fans should be happy with a win.

That's not what I'm saying. If DA wins this game and cam loses the next one for whatever reason there will be dumb huddlers and radio callers. Not saying I want that or think that but it's in the realm of possibility and I can just see all the stupid poo people will say from a mile away.
