#2651196 Michael Sam, draft prospect, admits he's gay

ohhhhh so you were the guy in high school that showered in a bathing suit. it all makes sense now, this has nothing to do with gay people.

you are just insecure.

#2651084 Does Cam have an asking price?

Posted by TheRumGone on 12 February 2014 - 01:55 AM

not argue proof at all. When you say never that pretty much dismisses the argument right there.when you narrow it down to Cam well that is saying he will be the only chance the Panthers ever have which is even more ridiculous.

he is the best chance we have because he is known. and he has shown greatness.

but you would rather go with unknown?

And comparing flacco to cam is ridiculous. Cam has done more with less than any qb outside Tom Brady. And no that is not an exaggeration

Compare olines/ Wrs between the panthers and Baltimore than tell me how you don't pay cam when he made 4 4th quarter drives to win the game putting the team on his back with a bunch of 1 year deal players and a shitty oline?

And ring ring ring we still have a young defense and in 2 years we won't have monster contracts in unimportant areas on the team.

why would you pack it in? You look at all your options sticking your fingers in your ears or your head in the sand doesn't change that.

You pay cam what you think he will become in the duration of the contract. He has been in an upward trajectory with a few bumps in the road which is completely normal. You start talking trades with people we start all over again. This is what teams do. If you believe cam can carry this team, which I believe he can and has shown, you pay him accordingly.

You use the draft to add talent around him, which is what we would be doing anyway because our cap has sucked to begin with. You don't morgage your future with a couple first rounds you have no idea will pan out. Essentially starting all over again. We have a young defense, pay cam, draft around him. Cut our cap down as much as possible, hit on your picks and we will be just fine. Cam has the ability and drive to be the GOAT. You don't let someone like that walk or trade for unknowns. It is just plain stupid

#2650203 The Browns continue to be a dumpster fire (Banner and Lombardi fired)

i know browns fans are probably happy because they hated banner and lombardi but the timing is so bad it's laughable.

By the same token, then, you should think heterosexual men should "keep it to themselves" as well, right?

no apparently gay men and straight men are not equals.

What is old is new again

ROMANS 1

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Talk to gay couples and then tell me if any of this gibberish is applicable to them. We are talking about human beings here, this is so disrespectful and dangerous to human beings. There are gay people, there have always been gay people, there with always be gay people. Instead of having broken homes and sham marriages, kids killing themselves and treating these people as second class citizens why don't we try to understand where these people come from, the troubles they go through in life and find ways to weed out homophobia? Would society as a whole not be better for it? Would the sanctity of marriage really be worse off if gay couples could marry? Imagine all the lessons we could learn about tolerance and acceptance. The same things Jesus preached. Treating people the way you want to be treated. This inclusiveness i guarantee would make us stronger as a society.

This is the most stunningly stupid thread I have ever come across in all my time on the huddle. Either there are dozens of members here who are trolling this thread for fun, or most of you don't have even a basic understanding of how the world works.

Sexual orientation is determined in the brain, and the sex drive is fueled, if you will, by hormones. Some people are born straight, some gay, some bi-sexual, and others asexual. One does not choose one's sexual orientation.

If you're straight, then you are most likely programmed to feel sexual attraction toward women who have a body type that appears fertile. I say most likely because that is not necessarily the case. You could be programmed to feel sexual attraction toward women who do not appear fertile. For instance, one might be attracted to female babies, female toddlers, prepubescent females, elderly females, ill females, or female corpses.

If you're gay then you are most likely programmed to feel sexual attraction toward men who have a body type that appears healthy, powerful, and virile. I say most likely because that is not necessarily the case. For instance, one might be attracted to male babies, male toddlers, prepubescent males, elderly males, ill males, or male corpses.

If you're straight, then you are most likely programmed to feel sexual attraction toward both men and women who appear healthy and fertile, but not necessarily. The attraction to either sex might not be 50/50. One might prefer males to females 60/40, or any kind of combination. With bi-sexuality the person does have a choice to make as to which sex to pursue. It's not unusual for a bi-sexual person to have both a male and female partner at the same time, or simply stick with one gender for life, or change back and forth.

Asexual people have a lack of sexual attraction toward anyone. They represent about 1% of the population.

As for myself, I'm straight and I prefer women who are short and curvy. I did not choose to be attracted to women. I was born with a heterosexual brain, and I'm thankful that I was not born with a homosexual brain. I prefer being straight, but it was by no means my choice. I find homosexual activity to be repulsive, but not by choice. I would rather be neutral toward seeing homosexual activity, but I can't choose that option.

At present there is no way to change a person's sexual orientation. It would require brain surgery most likely.

It's not that it's a homophobic sport.

The reality is dudes see you naked in the locker room, it's a physical sport, and a lot happens under the pile.  Just because I don't care if they legalize gay marriage doesn't mean I should have to feel objectified at my work place.

It's not phobic if it's reality.

It's like a dude playing girls basketball, using the same locker room and everything.  It's essentially the same thing if someone's gay.

oh no! a gay dude saw you naked in the locker room.

people act like these guys are fuging predators or something. and lol at what happens under the pile. stop acting like these people are sexual deviates who will take any chance they can to grope you.

i had a gay teammate in college. it was no big deal. literally not once did anybody feel uncomfortable. and it looks like nobody at missouri felt that way either. stop being a child about this. these are grown professional men. it's your insecurities not his.

I support full civil unions because its a true compromise. Conservatives keep the word 'marriage', gays get benefits. Unless the goal isn't to get equal benefits, but rather to haggle over words, there is no anti-gay issue.

And no, I don't look at 'them' as 'less than'. You are the one looking down on people and casting judgement, not me.

i remember terms like seperate but equal.

You are displaying the same behavior you claim to despise and justifying in for the same reasons.

Why would someone judge a gay person? Because they think they're wrong. Why would someone judge an anti-gay (or perceived anti-gay) person? Because they think they're wrong.

It's fugging hypocrisy to demand tolerance and respect from a group you are intolerant of.

mkay what's worse?

judging somebody who judges a group of people based on the way they are born (lets look at the history of that)

or people judging the people who judge that group of people.

you're mental gymnastics are hilarious but sir, without respect at all. Go fug yourself.

In North Carolina there is actually a law against sodomy so if the law is really exercised, then anyone openly gay would probably get arrested.   However, the lawmakers have kids that are gay and some themselves and don't want the ones they love to get arrested.

yea and there was also this law in alabama about white and black people marrying not too long ago.
