Cool man. I got a panthers beanie and gnome to add to my collection.

#2564926 Thank you Hurney and Gettleman.

I am sort of worried about how we're going to keep this team together.  If we get deep into the playoffs all our one year contracts are going to be looking for more money.  How are we going to manage resigning Hardy, extending Cam, and retaining our pertinent players that have expiring contracts.

bring in new guys if the other guys want more money

its how good teams stay good teams. they don't overpay and they restock their team with talent.

#2563517 proof that every country song was exactly the same in 2013

Posted by TheRumGone on 23 December 2013 - 11:47 PM

aaaaaaand justification for my absolute hatred of the genre

that's not country

that's radio music with some twangy guitar..there is some great country artists out there you have never heard of like the other millions upon millions of americans.

it is the same thing as breaking benjamin, hinder, seether and all those other atrocious bands filling up the rock stations/music video channels

here you go and you are welcome (and yes these are recent releases):

and i just scored some tickets to see these guys soon

(this isn't really a song but more of a reflection by patterson hood on the duality of the southern thing. how he is proud and ashamed at the same time to be from the south

that video is the worst of the country genre. its like listing a justin bieber song in a funk list because maybe some wah wah was played in a sample to one of his songs.

#2563188 Can we discuss Smitty's absense, and it's effect on our Offense?

Posted by TheRumGone on 23 December 2013 - 09:39 PM

Where we are going to miss Smitty the most is making those clutch third down receptions to move the chains at key times during the game. Hopefully we can keep third-and-longs to a minimum which will begin with smarter and more imaginative play calling on first and  second  downs.   We really don't have the luxury to run D-will into the middle of a pile a couple of times per possession. Of course every wide-out that we have is going to have to step up as well. And, perhaps we can begin to get Barner in some space.

laugh at me now. but hixon will step up.

he did it for the giants. made huge catches. clutch catches and circus catches last year.

It's quite the fact

lets trade receivers for a game (healthy) and see what happens

And id think it would be a safe bet to say that some bisexuals never act on their homosexual feelings soley based on societal stigmas but not because it is inherently wrong.

You do realize g5 is completely unable to formulate and communicate his own ideas and thoughts on most subjects, right? All he does is cherry pick quotes, paste conservative press clippings, etc. without having to take the time to let us know who he is or what he stands for. He'll toss out the occasional line like the one he did in response to your post, but don't expect an explanation. Almost like a Rush-bot.

i've found him to be pretty ignorant.

but i think a lot of his reasons for not expounding is because there are some posters here that are EXACTLY like him but just on the opposite side. they are jaded in the tinderbox.

they just bitch and moan at each other with what they think are witty one liners. and act like "you are too stupid to understand what i'm trying to say" bs.

#2561857 Give up a 2015 1st round pick for franchise WR?

Posted by TheRumGone on 23 December 2013 - 11:42 AM

trading up and losing picks is dangerous.

especially with how cyclical teams are. players get old (retire) players get injured (can't come back) players leave the team (FA). you are playing with fire. the best bet is to have the most rounded team possible with the fewest holes.

I would love for Cam to have a dominate #1 but not at the teams present and future expense.

#2561841 Peter King stiffed by Cam at Panthers camp

Posted by TheRumGone on 23 December 2013 - 11:37 AM

he was trashing Cam's play the entire game. said he wasn't worthy of the 1st overall pick.

then gave him a backhanded compliment when we won.

absolutely zero journalistic integrity.

and lol that the redskins might end up with the 1st pick of the draft and lose it to the Rams.

I dont have an answer, but Ill take a stab at it with this:   Christians believe we are all sinners from the time we are born, and that all sins are equal as in, no one sin is greater than the other.   So it seems like maybe god did make them that way maybe just like he made everyone else a sinner? Either that or he just made us and the sin came to us?  I dont know exactly Im no expert at christianity, but thats sort of how Ive come to understand it.

At any rate a christian is taught that we are all sinners and non of us are free from sin. Since all sins are the same, they should view theirselves no higher or lower than homosexuals.

my thing is if they don't have sex until they are married, get married. they are still sinning?

that doesn't seem fair. and isn't God suppose to be a just and fair God?

and another thing...i find it funny that people here act like they think it is a choice when they should be asking the experts, you know, the people who are gay themselves.

this is really common sense stuff.

#2559990 it was easy to give up on Cam (this isn't a bash Cam haters thread)

Posted by TheRumGone on 22 December 2013 - 06:53 PM

We are literally a #1 wide receiver away from multiple superbowl wins

this isn't based in reality but we definitely need to upgrade with a legitimate powerhouse WR.

i just hope we get into a position to draft one or sign one.

I want Cam to be able to make recievers better. poo he has all year spreading the ball around.

but it would be a luxury to have a dominant #1 force. I want that O-line built up more. hopefully we can do it all in one offseason.

#2559939 it was easy to give up on Cam (this isn't a bash Cam haters thread)

Posted by TheRumGone on 22 December 2013 - 06:39 PM

I think if you give Newton a good OL and at least one legit #1 WR......he would be near unstoppable.

Bottom line is he is playing behind a weak OL, despite us being loyal to the run game it doesn't aid him much, and his WRs too often don't get open. We improve the O talent and he improves.

Also people expect too much to soon from him.....he is already ahead if where tons of now elite QBs were 3 years in.

i don't think he would be unstoppable. but he is the future of qbs that can run.

he goes through his progressions and only runs when he has to a la steve young. i grew up watching steve. and cam's play...mind you not the actual athletic running or the laser throwing....reminds me of young.

we definitely have something very special. but i really wanted to point out how Cam doesnt rely on his athleticism to win games now and it is showing. it speaks to him more as a person than an athlete. And that is fuging scary as poo for opposing teams. because there has never been anybody like him.
