yeah i don't particularly find shooting firearms enjoyable. i do it sometimes, when possible, but i've never gotten a "rush"
probably because i don't see them as a forbidden fruit, or evil, or feel so powerless that i need a firearm as a crutch
the first gun i've ever shot was an ak-47 that my friend legally owns. it was kind of a "taming the beast" rush for me. i was insanely nervous to shoot it. listened carefully to my friend about safety precautions, how to properly load the gun, how to properly shoot the gun what to do what not to do. he gave myself and my two other friends a 15 minute talk about the gun before we were allowed to hold it. and was right beside us showing everything until we were ready to pull the trigger.
but again i was insanely nervous about it and the rush had nothing to do with i could fug poo up with this muahahahaha but more of this is a really, really powerful human crafted thing and i respect what that means.
after that feeling i still get a rush shooting other guns, but i still have that same feeling right before. A cautious, this is a really powerful, dangerous instrument that shouldn't be taken lightly feeling. That is the rush i always get with guns every time i shoot them.
if i had to forfeit that feeling so that thousands of lives could be saved...i would gladly do so though.
