#3021536 Rest of the schedule

Posted by TheRumGone on 14 October 2014 - 10:51 PM

We've dropped 30+ points our last two games. If the defense plays atleast a fraction of how the played the first two games we win more than we lose.

This is basically what it boils down to.

Defense gave up some close and I mean close 3rd down conversions.

Cam is on fuging fire and I don't really know what else to say. If the defense just holds on one or two more 3rd downs. We can be dangerous. We still have great pieces. We just need to pull it together

#3021520 Mike Mayock on Cam Newton (on around the NFL)

Posted by TheRumGone on 14 October 2014 - 10:44 PM

About Gabbert--I don't blame Mayock as much as I do the Jags. NO QB would have made it there at that time. Gabbert got gun shy. On the other hand, Cam had a 13-game resume in a spread offense that really did not challenge the QB.

I respect Mayock. He evaluates talent, not the situations and variables that impact success.

Gabbert was gun shy in college. That's one thing nobody could ever say about cam.

I tend to let some stuff slide about cam from the draft stuff I heard because if you are looking at it honestly he was a bit of a risk. But not because of stupid fake smile bs. Because he was raw with one real college season. That scares ppl and understandably.

#3021260 Are we a better team than when we facedGreen Bay in 2011?

We are without question better on O and D

#3020674 What is the Cam Newton standard?

Posted by TheRumGone on 14 October 2014 - 11:57 AM

Yes but why? Why do people feel like he has to do it alone? Is it because he is 6'5" 250lbs?

yes its because he is 6'5" 250lbs can truck linebackers, can superman dive over his offensive lineman and has a laser rocket arm and he won a national championship at the juco and division 1 level and was drafted #1 overall.

its like what people have said about him. if you were building a quarterback it would be cam newton. it clouds peoples judgement about this being a TEAM sport. Cam figured that out around year 2.

#3020629 What is the Cam Newton standard?

it's the lebron thing.

seriously most gifted athlete at the most important position people expect him to win it by himself.

#3020479 Power Rankings week 6

Posted by TheRumGone on 14 October 2014 - 09:44 AM

On the topic of Newton being elite, he'll have to win tough games like against GB and SEA despite our defense. That's when we can begin to talk about him being in the upper echelon of QBs.

he would have beat the bengals if rivera had taken his head out of his ass

#3018999 Hurney losing his poo on radio right now.

Posted by TheRumGone on 13 October 2014 - 01:39 PM

I'm serious when I say dilfer was slobbing on cams knob now he's a corporate sellout I guess

Wait Trent dilfer?

The Trent dilfer that was gushing over cam before we drafted him and after his first year? Saying we would win a Super Bowl with cam?

#3018804 RR's presser....sending tape of twists to NFL

if we can get hardy back, get these injured players healthy towards the middle of the season. we could make a serious run.

#3018782 If the playoffs started today

Posted by TheRumGone on 13 October 2014 - 12:03 PM

I might jizz if we got to play Dallas at home again in the playoffs.

If the season keeps going the way it's going, we're likely going to play the runner-up from the NFC East or NFC West at home. The Cowboys coming here, the only team we've ever beaten for home playoff wins? A possible rematch with the 49ers? The Seahawks coming to Charlotte yet again? Loving all of these possible matchups.

dallas would destroy us.

and you have no idea how much that hurts me to say. That team looks like one of the best in the league.

Murray is on fire right now.

Posted by TheRumGone on 13 October 2014 - 11:25 AM

i think we have a chance against GB because superman seems to be back.

GB has immense struggles against mobile QBs.

Rodgers will put up a ton of points though so it will be up to Cam to win the game.

Rivera's mentality today has me pissed off beyond belief

#3016526 "Ron Rivera and the Panthers wasted a brilliant performance by Cam" -...

Posted by TheRumGone on 12 October 2014 - 04:59 PM

Rivera lost riverboat as soon as greg hardy became inactive.

cam brought it all together today. You put the football in the hands of the best player. cam newton took this game over.

#3016514 Cam Newton MVP
