I missed the finale. It's ok. I love both of these teams. Germany was going to win, and like I said, it wasn't going to be easy. From the highlights the Argentinans gave them a ball game. That goal though, Gotze is incredible. Deutschland has to be jammin' right now. All in all this tournament was great. There was plenty controversy but all in all it was a good tourny.
They did more than give us a ballgame, they had me shitting myself in parts of the first half and the first few minutes of the second half. Great to see Gotze come on for Klose and win the thing...it is a true changing of the guard there. The goal was phenomenal and set off a three minute period where I do not really remember exactly what happened...but it was great. Until today my sports Mount Rushmore had three moments on it...there are now four.
I honestly could not care less about Roma but have hated Manure since before I was a true soccer fan. So many soccer friends through HS loved them and then the Bucs bought them to make it worse. long with the Yankees and Brazil they are my Mount Rushmore of sports hate.
I wish I could see Bayern but that would require going to Portland for the MLS ASG and I am saving for Australia so I do not have the cash. Maybe soon though!!
The NFCS is tougher top to bottom than the NFCW, which will allow SEA or SF to not lose in the division outside of playing each other. NO is tough, TB will be improved, and ATL is mediocre. In the NFCW, ARIZ and STL are fodder by comparison. Add in the NFCW plays the weak sisters AFCW and NFCE, while the NFCS plays the tougher AFCN and NFCN. Not a good recipe for anyone outside the NFCW to get HFA, unless they are able to go 14-2 or 15-1.
NFCS is not as good as the West. Also the AFCW had three playoff teams last year and easily the best team in the AFC while the AFCS had maybe the worst two teams in the NFL. You are right though that the NFCE is easier than the NFCN

I was there in Tampa in 2003, week 2, the Bucs first home game after their SB victory. They thought the day was to be a celebration but the Panthers had other plans. Trailing 9-3, including two blocked FG, the Bucs finally scored a TD on the final play of the game and it seemed that they would get the victory they had planned on. The Panthers blocked the XP and later won 12-9 in OT, kicking off a run the the Super Bowl.
