#3221996 Greg Olsen on the Colin Cowherd show

Posted by Goondal on Yesterday, 09:00 PM

I love listening to Greg and always try to watch any show he is on.  He will be a hell of an analyst when his career is done.

I saw him on First Take today and he had a nice little response to Skip.

Skip: I have lost count of how many times you have lost to the Seahawks

Greg: I have lost count of how many times you have played them

Skip: touche

I try to avoid that show when I can so maybe it happens more often, but I do not remember someone having a response like that to one of his remarks where he does not try to come back with another ridiculous comment.

We could play them every year until the end of time as long as we keep winning our respective divisions

#3221196 #13 UNC v. Syracuse

Posted by Goondal on Yesterday, 08:54 AM

Yep and honestly they had more than one opportunity to beat a very very good Irish team.

I'd be almost happy with a split during the next two games if that means we beat UVA next week and UVA beats the dookies Saturday.

If the final inbound had gone to a wide open Jackson instead of being forced to Paige in triple coverage then there is a very good chance we would have won.

Crazy to think we play Louisville with UVA against Duke this weekend, then play each other on Monday.  This ACC is going to be a lot of fun for years to come.

Syracuse 83

13 North Carolina 93

Six in a row!  Cannot wait for the Louisville rematch and then #2 Virginia over the next week!

I do not understand how someone with the athletic ability of Tokoto never learned to shoot

#3219538 For those who missed Gettleman's interviews, J. Jones got ya covered.

Sometimes the stuff that Gettleman says seems so simple and obvious that you would think it is common knowledge within the industry.  But then you look at our history, as well as how some organizations around the league are run, and you realize how rare it is that someone actually gets it.

Often times I think the fans of well run organizations are so use to people making good decisions that they will take it for granted. For fans of an organization like ours though, that have crawled through that river of crap for so long, this is such a special time.  We are incredibly lucky to have this man making the decisions for our team.

GM has made some excellent appetizers on a shoestring budget.  I cannot wait for the main course.

#3219034 The flu

Posted by Goondal on 24 January 2015 - 01:30 PM

I have a doctor friend who tells me the bottom 10% of medical classes become pediatricians.

I've not had the flu in ten years and I'm flu shot free since developing a chicken allergy 20 years ago

never had a flu shot or the flu myself. Outside of migraines (which I rarely get anymore) I do not remember the last time I was sick at all.

I am in my sixteenth year working in elementary schools. I have spent time in several dozen schools in multiple states, spending significant time in nine or ten. Most will tell you to expect to get sick as you get used to a new school's germs but I think they have just conditioned my immune system to be stronger.

At this point I have the white blood cell versions of Luke and TD in there.

Geno Smith, Manti Teo, and Jonathan Martin are hated villains?

#3218467 God is a Sports Fanatic?

Posted by Goondal on 23 January 2015 - 07:28 PM

I think it is pretty apparent that God hates the Indianapolis Colts because the team put their faith in Luck.

AFC Conference Final

Indianapolis Colts 7 - New England Patriots 45

No wonder Brady and Belicheck knew nothing of the deflated footballs, clearly it was God's work

So are these idiots implying that the Chicago Cubs have been full of atheists for the past 106 years?

Posted by Goondal on 23 January 2015 - 09:34 AM

I'm starting to believe people love to hate the panthers.

It is not so much that they hate us.  To me they are just more comfortable living in a world where they do not have to acknowledge our existence whatsoever.  Too bad for them that world will soon be coming to an end.

#3217819 Chizik Named DC of UNC

Posted by Goondal on 23 January 2015 - 09:20 AM

I think it'll take a year or two for the defense to get where Chizik can take it but then the question after that you have to wonder if Trubisky will be the real deal once Williams leaves.

Yeah, it is too bad we will not have Williams anymore once the defense really gets going.  Of course it should automatically be better than last year because, well, how can it not?
