#3304005 Current Panthers Receiver Depth Chart

Posted by OneBadCat on 29 March 2015 - 12:36 AM

Not being negative at all, just observant. Being a grinder is all cool and everything but it's the main reason people like him...it's the underdog story.

People keep saying he's a deep threat when he's not nor has he ever been...he's not the answer for our speed issues and he's small so yes 4.5 is bad for a 5'11 WR weighing in at 180lbs. If 300 yards and 2 TDs is coming up "big" then let me tell you that there are 60+ other NFL WRs who came up bigger for their squads...once again easily replaceable.

Brown is 23 same as age Hill but Hill has more experience and measurables.

Not saying he is the answer either but people scoff at a 23 year old HIll who is 6-4,215 and can actually run but try to act like Brown could be anything but a JAG...at best Brown could be an average slot WR.

The expectations are different between the two. I don't think or expect Brown to be our next great WR or even a #2 for that matter. I don't think most people here do either. But there's no harm in giving him a chance to compete. Obviously Gettleman isn't settling if he's offering a contract to Greg Jennings.

Brown was a UDFA who did come up big for us at times last year. He didn't put up a lot of stats but he made crucial plays. Hill is a 2nd round draft choice who has nearly fallen off the map. But hey  I would like a guy with his measurables to succeed here too.

#3295753 How many time do you wear jeans before washing them?

Posted by OneBadCat on 23 March 2015 - 01:24 PM

fug, i am the grossest one here. i only ever own one pair of jeans, wear the same pair nonstop until my wife finally washes them, which can take a couple weeks, and when they're finally busted beyond repair i buy a new pair. i spend roughly $30 every two years on pants. not a bad pants budget.

disclaimer: i spend most of my life at work in work pants, so it's not like my jeans smell like my balls

Same. I go forever without washing them unless there is an obvious stain. It's not that important to me and my jeans don't usually smell because I bath pretty regularly.

#3287930 Hardy negotiating with Seattle/Tampa/Dallas

Damn it this sht really pisses me off. We have years invested in Hardy. He's home grown talent. He should be here.

#3279212 Gettleman: Oher can be answer at left tackle

He literally just needs to be a little better than Byron Bell for us to have massive improvement as a team.

#3268735 Rivera met with Owamagbe Odighizuwa in Los Angeles

Damn if we take him we are going to have a ridiculous pass rush.

Love DG and his approach. He is committed to having the most stacked DL every year.

#3264709 Chicago shopping Brandon Marshall in a potential trade

Posted by OneBadCat on 05 March 2015 - 06:35 PM

Past his prime, locker room cancer and will cost too much. He also doesn't really fit our culture. Not once have I seen the guy visit a nursing home or children's hospital.

#3262152 Eagles and Bills: Major Trade

Posted by OneBadCat on 04 March 2015 - 08:38 AM

I think it's a smart move for the Eagles. RB's don't last that long and you don't want to throw more money at him when you could just as easily trade him and address a need. Then fill his role with cheaper options.

#3260691 Report: Andre Johnson will be released if Texans can’t find trade partner

Posted by OneBadCat on 03 March 2015 - 09:08 AM

From a weirdly big segment of people on the Huddle: Unless he's under 26, plays at a Pro Bowl level, would sign for near the minimum, and has no character issues at all...................................NO THANKS DO NOT WANT

Hilarious isn't it?

#3253635 Ravens willing to move on from Torrey Smith

Posted by OneBadCat on 25 February 2015 - 12:20 AM

I don't want us anywhere near a contract like that. Bring back Ginn and draft some studs. Go Gettleman.

#3249688 PFF: Josh Norman 3rd in the league in YPCS (.01 behind Sherman), Bene tied fo...

Posted by OneBadCat on 22 February 2015 - 01:52 PM

Norman and Bene are going to be starters for while. I still think Melvin White can be a more than serviceable CB too. I'm not sure corner is as much a need as people believe.Would rather groom a talented SS to roll with Boston.

#3239846 NFC South Schedule Ranks

Posted by OneBadCat on 12 February 2015 - 03:12 PM

Every year the strength of schedule flips it's head when the season rolls around. I don't buy it. AFC South may very well become decent competition.

Personally I love Hardy. It's not just about his talent either. He takes his pride to another level and it's something this team can feed off of. Granted the defense is fine without him I hope a deal can be reached

#3228393 Russell Wilson is smoke and mirrors.

Posted by OneBadCat on 02 February 2015 - 11:56 AM

He makes good touch throws. I don't think it's fair to take that away from him.  However he isn't that developed. He's just a good player on a great team. He's also able to get away with a lot because of his legs. Plus his lame ass cookie cutter persona helps his image with the media.

#3227453 Stupidest play call in the history of the NFL

Posted by OneBadCat on 01 February 2015 - 10:48 PM

Well Seattle at least went to the Super Bowl.

Two years of Mike Shula says I've seen dumber sht.

The nerd in me believes that Dan Morgan is like the Anakin Skywalker to Luke Keuchly.

Since Morgan was ruined by injuries the football force re-manifested his midichlorians into Luke Keuchly. Luke is everything Morgan was supposed to be.
