#2990701 several items from USA Today...Benji OROY so far

Posted by CharlottePanther on Yesterday, 01:41 PM

Yeah I'm so glad we released a player in the running for MVP! And payed him millions to do so! Anyone trying to spin smiths release as a positive is fuging stupid

He would have not played with the same fire this year like he is now. Why do people not understand this?! Why didnt Smitty play this hard last year?! He did not want to be here anymore period, it took him getting released for him to play at this level

#2989841 Overall, doesn't this feel like the worst NFL season you can remember?

Posted by CharlottePanther on 29 September 2014 - 11:13 PM

I actually agree 100%, I think we are seeing the start of the fall of the NFL roman empire, I honestly just seem to be getting less and less intrested in the nfl. I was even feeling this before we imploded. The NFL is too much about luck. It just takes a couple huge penalties to decide a game. Way too many blowout games, injuries to key players happening way more often, places like ESPN trying to turn the NFL into a WWE soap opera with story lines..

I think they need to do away with pass interference calls resulting in the offense moving all the way to the spot of the foul, that is so unfair its not even funny. A team is at their own 20, suddenly on a deep bomb they now are in the redzone because of a PI call and its like, really?! Im sorry, but pass interference isnt serious enough for such a harsh penalty. It should be a automatic first down and a 10 or 15 yd penalty at most.

Roughing the QB penalties should be able to be reviewed. There is just too much parity in the NFL. I understand that, thats what makes it intresting but there has to be some level of consistency.

Just too many flags make the game unwatchable. I damn sure dont like college football. I think I might just go be a NBA hermit. Football fans are also very annoying, the NBA takes more true skill and more talent than the NFL and less fluke and luck. Bring on the NBA already

#2989581 Shula Has To Go Soon

Posted by CharlottePanther on 29 September 2014 - 09:15 PM

Bring back Chud. Why do people here hate him so much?' Sure he went full stupid some games, but he finally reeled it in and we finished the season strong. Ive said this a million times, we do not have the defense NOR the running game NOR the oline to run a Shula offense. Literally every single one of our RBs are out, thats Chuds wet dream come true right there seeing as how he hates utilizing RBs anyway.

Bring back 2011 Chud and the two TE sets and live and die by the high octane passing offense. Our D is playing like ass now anyway. Might as well try to win shoot outs.

Cam is a waaay better QB and better passer now than he was a couple years ago. Him, Cam and KB would do wonders together. With Dwil, Tolbert and Stewie out anyway, that takes the pressure off Chud to feel forced to have to use RBs, now he could truely do what he wants to do. Chud knows Cam, knows this personnel, knows Ron and would be a seamless transition. Mark my words, Rivera is giving serious thought to bringing Chud back, he just wont say it publicly

#2989366 Rivera: Panthers Tempted to Unleash Cam?

Posted by CharlottePanther on 29 September 2014 - 07:43 PM

The issue is Cam is looking good as hell from the pocket, he doesnt really need to run

#2987897 Dave Gettleman?

Posted by CharlottePanther on 29 September 2014 - 11:13 AM

Im not blaming Gettleman. He has been fine, two years in row he has signed mediocre WRs that have made a impact for us. Ginn last year and Cotchery this year as well as making the good move to trade up for Bene as well as drafting KB which is a monster despite a bad O line. Gman has been great.

There is something strange going on with this team right now. I dont know what but nearly every single player looks so lethargic, Kalil and Keek are playing bad, Star has been non existent. Something more deep is going on here, even on the sidelines before we start getting beat the players just look so out of it. Keek isnt up waking around, Cam and dorsey are just secluded on their bench, Rivera even looks bored (they actually caught him yawning last week on the sidelines against Pitsburgh)

I dont know if the players quit on Rivera or what. Maybe they just plain ole dont want it this year for whatever reason, no reason in particular maybe they just dont feel like playing hard. There is something going on with this team now that is deeper than injuries, deeper than Hardy and deeper than a bad O linen

#2986789 Offensive Line Is Terrible

Posted by CharlottePanther on 28 September 2014 - 10:11 PM

I have to admit, seeing Bell give up that would be sack on literally the first play of the game, i chuckled a little bit because Bell's entire career can be summed up in that one little play. Jesus he is so putrid.. Putrid, putrid, putrid

#2986683 This team can and will fix the issues

Posted by CharlottePanther on 28 September 2014 - 09:38 PM

I must say, the fact the Saints are getting stomped and we are tied no 1 in the NFCs has me in a little better spirits but there is no denying this team has a TON of work to do, its just so so so mind boggling to me how our D took such a dramatic step back. I sort of have a feeling now that the Smitty drama, and Hardy drama are behind us as well as Alexander returning, I think we will bounce back

Maybe because Star benefited from having Greg Hardy on the other side to free him up one on one.

I refuse to believe losing one guy on D has this big of an impact. Sure, i expected a drop off, but losing Hardy justifies us going back to the Fua/Mcclain dark ages?! There are much deeper issues here. Even Keek has looked like crap and that is terribly troublesome

#2980857 Report: Steve Smith asked to be released

Posted by CharlottePanther on 28 September 2014 - 10:27 AM

You see, now do you guys see why I said the things ive said about him the last several weeks?! I consider myself a good judge of character, hes always been a diva, petulant child.

#2979825 All of a sudden, 89 getting all the love....

Posted by CharlottePanther on 27 September 2014 - 09:37 AM

I will say this, wont suprise me one bit if Smitty has a very quiet day. Anytime something like this is hyped by a player or the media, its like the complete opposite happens. Hasnt Smitty ran his mouth in the past before a game only to be shutdown come game day?! I think hes way to distracted and caught up in playing against us that hes losing sight of the bigger picture. I just have a feeling he has a mediocre day tommorrow.

Posted by CharlottePanther on 26 September 2014 - 11:24 AM

i agree with you. but they need to get rid of the types of games like last week and the Saints game in New Orleans last year. until they do, there will always be naysayers. i understand losses happen, but a team isnt elite until they stop allowing blowouts at home on national primetime television

Im sorry but I just have to say something, sure we have had bad prime time games but people act as though we can never win in prime time. We beat the Bucs and the Patriots both in prime time last year and at San Fran in a 4:25 pm game. We got beat bad by the Cardinals when it wasnt prime time and the Saints are unstoppable in that place on prime time, I bet the Broncos wouldnt even win at the dome in prime time.

That new england game last year is as prime time as it gets and we won. Teams lose game, this whole "prime time curse" thing is stupid

#2976002 A bad week for our NFC South rivals

Posted by CharlottePanther on 24 September 2014 - 09:42 AM

Its all about the long term picture. With TD, D Will, Stewart, Tolbert, Hardy out and Cam hurt. Its going to be tough to have a winning season

#2974927 48 hours ago the Huddle had Super Bowl visions. Now we should pack the season...

Posted by CharlottePanther on 23 September 2014 - 12:45 PM

No Tolbert, no DWill, no Stewie, no Hardy, possibly no TD, literally the only RB we have is from the practice squad. A hurt QB thats no longer a running threat and a terrible O line. Not to mention we have a extremely tough schedule ahead. Its not the one loss that has me thinking the season is over, its everything I mentioned above.

#2973698 Kelvins TD

Posted by CharlottePanther on 22 September 2014 - 05:41 PM

I think we all know deep down that DA gives us our best chance to win, but I suppose there are more important things in the NFL than winning afterall. I guess "developing" a young QB (a banged up one at that) is more important than winning.
