#2915198 The disrespect.

Posted by mbarbour21 on Today, 02:53 PM

It doesn't seem like we should be in the same group with the Skins. However, it isn't crazy to suggest we would be near 8 in the NFC. There is some very good competition, even with double digit wins we could be on the outside looking in come playoff time. But yeah, we should be in the contender group IMO.

He looks explosive if he can get the basics down. Nothing will prepare him for that like regular season games. He needs more practice. At some point in time, you gotta put him in real-time situations for him to learn.

I don't know who said that.....but that was pretty funny.

#2899671 Possible DE Trade?

Posted by mbarbour21 on 20 August 2014 - 09:57 AM

Hey, "you can never have too many pass rushers"

I smell all 6 stay, and one of the prodigy WRs goes. Why keep 6 or 7 WRs when we are clearly a defensive team. We are an injury and a suspension away from taking a big blow at DE. I want to groom our young DL

I have to agree with you. Although Horton is the most likely to go, I think we go the route of great rotation. If he is traded, they will probably be seeking draft picks. I dont see a player for player trade here unless its a great value trade. Because Getts has pretty good draft skills. (Stock-piling picks is also a good way to trade up in draft)

I think our scheme will work out great. Like stated earlier, we really need balance. Anything can happen when you start slinging the ball around. Especially tipped passes. With the defense we have, we dont have to sling it. We can methodically move the chains, eat up T.O.P., and do it more effectively than last year. (Because of our new additions offensively)

#2897922 Who's the 'Prototype' for the New Age QB? Newton or Luck?

Let's see what they say this year when the offense is markedly better?

"Wow! Who knew getting rid of Steve Smith would actually help Cam FINALLY become a good player."

"Gettleman was right! The answer really was on the roster the whole time. Cam actually got to play with some good WRs this year, I knew that's all he needed to be great! I was right!"

"Fluke..."

"The Panthers had a great......THIS JUST IN......Manziel just cut his eyes at a cashier at McDonald's! Wow! He really hates onions! I cant stand them either!"

Probably something like that....

#2890326 Playing Smith in Baltimore

Everyone who doesn't think Smitty is gonna come ready to have a 10+ reception, 200+ rec. yards, and 2 TD game is crazy. He may still love Charlotte, but he wants to prove he still has it. And guess what, he does. I don't think he is gonna go off, but don't expect anything less than everything he has that game. I don't care if he says it aint personal. It is. He will treat it that way. Plus he actually has threats around him now.......we better come to play.

#2888722 Panthers Training Camp - Final Thoughts

Posted by mbarbour21 on 13 August 2014 - 09:37 AM

Love the story, but I don't think the Panthers have the offense to support MVP/ROY players. While KB has the potential to be very good, the ball-control offense isn't set up to give him THAT many looks. Same with Cam getting league MVP. The kind of QB's that win MVP are on pass-happy offenses with way more money and talent wrapped up in their O-Lines. If that were the case, you'd be making a case for our tackles being the best in the league, not just good enough to start. Just my humble opinion. Not trying to hate. If the defense continues to dominate, the run game is successful, the receivers can catch what comes to them, and (most of all) the team stays healthy, the Panthers could be REALLY good this year, as a team. The Saints and Bucs got their superbowl rings before us. I just hope that we can be the first to win the division twice in a row.

With that being said, Your coverage knows no equal. Keep up the great work.

Didn't Steve Smith win the "triple-crown" when we had run first offense?

It says, in Revelations, that Stewie will play in 2014. I think in chapter 8: "Two thousand, one dozen and a deuce years beyond the death of our savior, a Latina, African, and Euro will lead the army of 53 through the valley.. Black cats will sit eager and await the judgement. And the rested one will ascend upon high to carry the burden for the old and weary, for it is his destiny according to his rather generous contract.

Is that NIV???
Haha!

#2881145 Playing time for Kelvin?

Posted by mbarbour21 on 08 August 2014 - 08:10 AM

I'm a strong believer that KB is the real deal.. Still needs to be getting that playing time considering hes a rookie.

Yes he does. Im just not so sure it will happen game one. He needs all the playing time he can get, but Im thinking that will start more in game 2. And i know the knee isn't an issue, but that doesn't mean Rivera and Co. wont play it safe. Hopefully i am wrong and he plays first half tho.

Two possessions sounds about right. I wouldnt expect a lot of PT for him until Cam hits the field as well. Plus, he is going to be on this team come the regular season. They need the guys like Lucas/Pilares/Bersin/King/Underwood to get majority of reps. Evaluation time for guys trying to grab a roster spot.
