#3040507 Panthers offense vs Richard Sherman

KB might thrive in a physical matchup. It might bring out the best in him.

#3039990 The the calm before the storm... Seahawks at Panthers Bold Predictions

Posted by mbarbour21 on Yesterday, 12:45 PM

If we are gonna do bold, let's do bold.
- Punt Return TD from Bersin
- 73 yard bomb to KB high OVER Sherman
- 51 yard TD run by Cam
- 40 yard INT return by Short
- Olsen has 200 yard game (no TDs tho)
- We have 4 takeaways

#3037162 Deandre Presley at Safety?

Posted by mbarbour21 on 22 October 2014 - 01:06 PM

He's 185lbs and runs a 4.5 40. Yeah, that's going to work out awesome.

I would rather have 185 lbs getting in someone's way than Harper watching them run away.....

#3025055 Pete Prisco Sings Cam's Praises

Cam was a little immature. I will not deny that. He did some things that showed that. (Towel over head wasn't one of them) However, he was ALWAYS a dynamic QB. Broke passing and rushing records in the same season with no training camp. Luck broke just one, they put him on a throne. His attitude was bad, but his ability should have never been in question. (He did have issues over throwing some time, but not that serious)

#3024734 Packers secondary

Posted by mbarbour21 on 17 October 2014 - 10:23 AM

They still play a 3-4 and that's my major concern.

Yep, heres hoping read option can even the score. Cam wasn't Cam when we played Pittsburgh & Baltimore, but he is now. I think his increased mobility makes the difference in this game.

#3024723 Should refs help prevent penalties?

Posted by mbarbour21 on 17 October 2014 - 10:16 AM

I'm still wondering how penalties get called on the Pats at all. pretty sure the NFL shield is really nothing but Pats spl00ge.

They actually let a surprising one (roughing the passer/unnecessary roughness) go last night against the Jets. Of course a Pats o-line retaliated and that got called instead. It wasnt a huge hit, but something that normally would be called. IMO.

And no, I dont think they should if they wont do it for everyone on every play, offense and defense. Seems unfair and can look like favoritism. Not a good look for a ref.

#3020563 So on to Greenbay

Posted by mbarbour21 on 14 October 2014 - 10:58 AM

- run Cam early, put their defense on their heels.
- don't settle for FGs
- pass rush has to be there
- physical corner play at the line

#3019121 1. KB 2. ? 3. Avant 4. Bersin 5. Brown

Posted by mbarbour21 on 13 October 2014 - 02:25 PM

The other team scored 37......had an 89 yard run.........97 yard kick return.......man, Cotch is garbage. Where was he during all this???......Oh wait....

#3018482 Game-plan vs. Green Bay: Kaepitalize?

Posted by mbarbour21 on 13 October 2014 - 10:12 AM

Okay, so first of all, forgive me ahead of time for using Kaep in a positive light on the huddle....WHAT WAS I THINKING??? Well, for one, the Cincy game was a tie, lets move on. Please!!! Secondly, Kaep has "historically" (if you can call it that) beaten Green Bay. A huge factor has been his designed runs/scrambles, or at least GB having to respect it. Kaep totaled 181 rushing yards alone in their last meeting.

So I believe getting Cam some designed runs early will put GB on there toes, and at the very least, open up some passing lanes. (Kaep had over 400 yards against GB week 1 last year) I say break out those game films!!!

Cam seems to get healthier every week. If he can improve on yesterday's performance, against a lesser defense, he could really go off. Get him started early instead of waiting until the third quarter to unleash him!!! Cam is a better passer than Kaep, so the game-plan should work even better for us.

Do you guys believe this is the best plan of attack???

#3018256 We may very well still be the best team in the NFCS

Posted by mbarbour21 on 13 October 2014 - 07:55 AM

I love our fan base. If you'd told me three years ago that we'd be in the hot seat for back to back NFCS champs I would not have sat there wondering how bad the rest of the division would have been to "let us win". Ludicrous expectations on this board sometimes.

I would rather have 12 or so wins to win the division instead of 9, but at the end of the day.....no one is gonna care. It will be:
- did they make the playoffs
- did they win a playoff game
- they make it to the NFC Championship
So on and so forth

Now that Cam is FINALLY Cam again, we may get it rolling. As much as we would like to trash Cincy they are a really good team, even without two playmakers. Although they shot themselves a lot, they are pretty solid.

There are some things we gotta get together defensively, and I think we will. I hope we get hot on defense late and carry it into the playoffs.

Turnovers are not helping us. The Chicago game started out with two near our own redzone.
