The NFL takes one step closer to being the WWF

07 May 2014 - 05:22 PM

It's been announced that the players drafted tomorrow night will have their own walkout music. How much longer until pyrotechnics are involved?

What would your walkout music be?
I'll start it off with DMX's Ruff Ryders Anthem.

Also, I hope one of the players chooses a completely random head scratcher and trolls America.

Steve Logan talks/ranks 2014 WR class

Sorry, I don't know what went wrong. I just started this without my summary to see if it went through, it did, and then my phone was unable to load the huddle again until now (different IP I'm guessing did the trick).

Still can't post my summary. Is there a word limit? It's not THAT long...

Worst Case Scenario

04 April 2014 - 08:20 PM

I got to thinking of the possibility of all our favorite WRs and Ts being gone by 28, which is a frighteningly real possibility. Who would we pick?

Now, the nightmare scenario. Let's say pick 28 rolls around and all the first round WRs we covet (Watkins, Evans, Lee, Cooks, OBJ, Benjamin) are gone, as well as first round tackles. Heck, even Morgan Moses is gone! Let's say those top 3 TEs are gone also, as well as the top 2 corners and safeties.

Who or what is plan B, besides the obvious trade back attempt? Who would you take at 28?

Edit: I'm thinking maybe an OLB if one of the top guys falls due to all the other positions being drafted, or a slight reach for Jordan Matthews.

1st Round TE?

04 January 2014 - 01:19 AM

I was thinking of the upcoming draft and our needs. I'd list our top needs as OT, WR, CB, with OT and WR kinda 1a and 1b. Now, assuming we don't trade up and are drafting near the bottom of the 1st round, the likelihood of one of the top LT or WR prospects being available for us aren't that great. We could likely get a good RT prospec there, but we could just as easily upgrade over Bell in the second or third, and CB prospects are so hit or miss seemingly no matter where you draft them.

So why not go for a TE? Chances are that one of the 3 first round TEs will be available, and being able to run more 2 TE sets will help both our passing and blocking. I think Amaro or Ebron could be great fits, and word was that we had our eye on one of the TEs last year before star fell in our laps.

What say you?

Not Allowed on the Bandwagon

30 December 2013 - 01:37 PM

Now that the Panthers have won the NFCS and claimed the overall 2 seed in the NFC, there are sure to be plenty of bandwagoners: this can be both good and bad.

With that in mind, who in the media, on the huddle, and otherwise is NOT allowed on the bandwagon? Please give reasons with your suggestions, I can edit OP as needed.

I'll start with some obvious members of the media and suggest twitter blasts when they inevitably try to hop on this bandwagon:

Dave Dameshek
Adam Schein
Rodney Harrison
Crispin Glover
Peter King
Nolan Nawrocki
Huddlers who joined in 2013 :(
Terry FUGING Bradshaw
Dat Alice
Cowboy fans
Alex Smith
Howie Long & his spawn
