Who gets the half game ball?

12 October 2014 - 04:17 PM

Well, since it is a tie, the winner only gets half the ball. I don't see how anyone can go against Cam but.....whatevs

Hornets ESPN player rankings

So far Henderson, Stephenson, Al and Kemba haven't been ranked. I'd assume Hendo will be coming soon as they still have about 95 spots left.

The 3 players Hurney traded up for

01 October 2014 - 04:33 PM

1. Everette Brown, 2009.

Traded 2010 first rounder to San Francisco for their 2009 2nd round pick which was obviously used on Everette Brown. The 49ers used our 1st rounder in 2010 to take Mike Lupati, who's become a pro bowl Guard. Everette Brown was cut after two seasons.

2. Armanti Edwards, 2010

Traded our 2011 2nd rounder (33rd overall) to the Patriots for their 2010 3rd rounder which again, obviously, we used on Armanti Edwards for god knows why. The Patriots took CB Ras-I Dowling with the 2nd round pick. He has battled injuries so far and is no longer with the patriots, but who knows who we would've taken with that pick. Armanti Edwards did literally nothing with us and was eventually cut.

3. Frank Alexander, 2012

Traded a 2013 3rd rounder to the 49ers for their 2012 4th rounder. The 49ers traded our 3rd round pick to Dallas who drafted WR Terrence Williams with the pick. However, Keenan Allen went two picks later to San Diego. Frank Alexander has done very little so far and will miss at least 14 games this season due to TWO drug use violations.

TLDR: Even though some of us have been tough on Gettleman (myself included), at least he's better then the last idiot we had at GM. Not to mention the ridiculous contracts he's given out that kept us from getting any quality lineman this offseason.

Part of the problem

22 September 2014 - 06:08 AM

Something I've noticed these last 3 games that attribute to why we always seem to score less then we should of is our field position. It's usually terrible. We are consistently forcing Cam to go 75+ yards every drive it seems. That's why we have so many drives in which we get 2-3 first downs but still end up punting. Maybe I am just imagining it, but I certainly see that as a problem.

I also want to give Cam some appreciation. He's proved he might be the toughest and most mature QB in the NFL. He's taken more hits then any QB since he came into the league by far. He still has only missed one game and with the exception of his rookie season, has never called anyone out for it. This OLine is going to get him killed and all we can do is watch and cringe after every hit he takes.

Anyways, now that I've calmed down from last night, I'm ready for Baltimore and Cincinnati along with being looked at as underdogs again.

TB vs. STL thread

14 September 2014 - 06:23 PM

I know no one cares but if the Rams win and TB beats Atlanta Thursday, we'll have a shot at a 2 game lead after week 3.

Plus lol at TB loosing to a 3rd string QB.
