#1574749 Congrats from texans fan

I was at the game and the Panthers did us a favor by whupping up on us because on our message boards the stupid threads were growing...the TJ versus Schaub controversy n we are going to the superbowl etc. If we have to lose I don't mind losing to the Panthers since I'm a NC native and have always pulled for them but..lol. I'll make sure that I make a few of the Panthers home games next year and I try to catch them in New Orleans if if doesn't conflict with the Texans home game. Panthers on offense are fun to watch. They have a bright future with Newton who is a lot of fun to watch. Newton was smiling and laughing the whole game like he was playing a game..lol. You guys lost a lot of close games and with this being Riveras' first year that defense will be much improved and I look for the Panthers to return to the top very soon. Good luck the rest of the way.

Need to get pressure on TJ Yates. I do remember the UNC/LSU game and UNC was missing 13 players or 7 or 8 starters (tutor and south beach-gate) and he single-handedly almost beat LSU. Lol, as I read somewhere, this is his 5th year playing on a pro team (shot at ol butchie's team talent/recruiting methods and pitiful coaching..I mean Hakeem Nicks, etc).

The Panthers have to do one thing....just one thing and they win this game. Make sure Dwill and JStew get at least 30-40 touches combined..run or pass. Please...oh, please I beg of Chud, else Cam's gonna end up with 3-4 INTs. I was having a fit during the 3rd Qtr last week, up 16 or 13 pts with less emphasis on the ground game.....

As much as I like to watch Deangelo Williams run that ball....I don't see Williams and Stewart getting it done when we only allow 91 yds a game rushing. (4th). I used to think the Panthers had the best one two punch in the NFL at RB but now I think we have the best 1-2-3 punch with Foster, Tate and Derrick Ward.

Half those tackles were against Andre. This is why he was frustrated and then got his ass kicked..lol

#729399 Gettis

I told y'all panthers fans that Gettis would make this team with ease....I'm two for two because I told y'all last year that you would love Goodson too. I know my Texas College players well. Looking forward to seeing those guys help the Panthers get back on top where they belong in that division. Good luck next sunday from #1 Texans fan.

#647425 Panthers tailgating

Pringles has popcorn flavored chips now.

I guess hitting the downtown restaurants might not be a bad idea either. Charlotte is set up different than Houston though. Y'all have a downtown stadium and we don't. People here do hit the downtown restaurants for the Astros and Rockets games because those stadiums are downtown. Well give me a cool restaurant to hit before a Panthers game.

If they would've given the starting QB job to Croyle that year, they would already know they have their franchise QB.

I don't think that Croyle is the answer either. Their biggest problem is the coaches and drafting and releasing young starters that go to other teams and excel.

#647285 Gettis gears up for a big rookie season

I hope Gettis is raw enough to not get snatched off the practice squad. That would suck.

I don't think you have to worry about him getting snatched off the practice squad because he won't be on the practice squad. With the WRs that the Panthers have...David Gettis can be your #2 WR by you bye week. We're pretty familiar with Gettis and his talents and you guys are going to like this guy. He is a steal and the only reason his name was not higher on the draft boards is because he played at Baylor and their QB looked to run before pass. Mark my words...you guys got a steal!

I might make a Panthers game this year and I was wondering if the tailgating is any good there? We tailgate/cook/drink at all the Texans game and are rated #1 in the NFL so how is it in Carolina?

The american player was clearly offsides.:D The USA plays ugly soccer and its best when they don't even qualify for the world cup. Just watch teams like Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Germany etc and see how the game is supposed to be played. We need to stick with our style of football.
