#2952925 #2 Defense Points Allowed Per Game

Posted by Jaxel on 14 September 2014 - 07:01 PM

I think Houston has allowed only 20 points thus far or 10 points a game... So technically we are number 2.

#2694024 Do we cut Godfrey and let him test the market?

Posted by Jaxel on 14 March 2014 - 07:23 AM

Godfrey has always been and will be better than Mitchell this year and beyond. Sometimes you guys are blinded by the shiney new toy or cap hits. Godfrey is like Gamble, better than he is given credit for and hated by the fan base for no reason.

#2693529 What if Gettleman is trying to sabotage Cam?

He's gonna get cam some help. This whole notion is ridiculous.

#2633732 ALERT! ***sleeper detected! *** Connor Shaw

Morris couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if it were running a comeback route.. The dude is only a vertical thrower.. Shaw is much better.

#2628177 Jordan Matthews

Posted by Jaxel on 23 January 2014 - 12:15 AM

I wouldn't mind us drafting Matthews along with Abbrederis... The Wisconsin kid.. He tore up bradly roby this... Something like 10 catches for 200 yards and a td.

Josh norriS said Matthews has easily looked like the best receiver out there, followed by Herron and that Wisconsin kid abbrederis.

They were a 3 and 11 and a 4th and 6... Really guys??? come on, there is a point where you have to be smart. Tough game but the Saints were the better team tonight. Panthers just need to regroup and come back strong next week.

?? there is literally a handful of people here who think that we are going to lose and none of those people will be swayed by anything anyone says.

the majority of people in here feel good about our chances and many of those think that we'll win (tho to that handful of scared chickens will say that we think that we are guaranteed a blowout just to make their option seem more "realistic").

there are two threads in here started by the more negative and pessimistic posters (who call themselves "realistic") which, if you can read the threads, you can see that the percentage of people who prescribe to that weak PoV consists pretty much of the people who make those threads up.

the panthers are winning. their wins are legitimate wins. the bad teams they are destroying and they just had a convincing and hard fought win against a really good team in their home stadium.

anyone with a functioning brain can see that this game coming up is between two very good teams and know that the panthers have a really good shot at winning, and probably should win. they know that the pats and their QB aren't playing at the level we are used to them playing. they know that the panthers defense is real and dominant and the offense has been getting the job done and, if the trend of the last couple years continues, the offense is just starting to find their groove and play their best ball of the season.

there is a lot of faith in this team right now and even in rivera. with the exception of the most narrowheaded of folks, rivera has done what was needed to get those wins. he's now managing the game in a way that will bring about more wins than losses and brings about the type wins we've been seeing.

most of us have bought in because we've seen with our own eyes that the panthers are playing the best ball that they've played in a decade.

if it were just panther fans talking about how well the panthers are doing and talking playoffs as they are, then the pessimists might have a leg to stand on about how we are overrating the panthers, but that isn't the case. people league wide are realizing what we are in here...that the panthers are real and one of the best teams in the league this year (which is the ONLY year that matters).

Hey I'm down with that, but gotta fight the negetive nancies man.

#2489611 Patriots blow out Panthers

Posted by Jaxel on 16 November 2013 - 02:19 PM

I would think about this.

The teams that have not played well against the Steelers.

Jets (3rd game ever for Smith... yeah Smith...)

Bills (E.J. Manuel and his first game back since injury)

Titans (omg top offense).

Ravens (who have displayed one of the worst offenses of the season)

Other Teams...

Bears - 40 points

Vikings - 34 Points

Patriots - 55 Points

Raiders....- 21 Points (with a qb name Pryor...)

Bengals - 20 points

Thats a terrifying defense right there.

#2414707 Stopping Newton - The Word is Out

Posted by Jaxel on 07 October 2013 - 06:45 AM

The problem is, and homers just don't want it To be true, is that Newton had the vision of a blind cave bat. On a 3rd down sack by dansby, the whole middle of the field was wide open and Lafell came streaking across it, but Cams eyes never even budged from the primary receiver who took a decade to get open. The play ended with lafell telling cam, "hey I was wide the frick open. Look for me bra". The truth until Cam learns to go through his reads in an efficient manner, he will be an average qb at best.
