In Topic: D-Will in shock over loss of receiving corp

Dwill had almost 900 yards himself and he missed a game, stop grouping them together. Ya'll really hate Stewart and are just blaming Dwill.

Dwill is not producing anywhere near his payrate, specially if you compare it to today's NFL standar of production/money. You can mask it with fancy numbers as much as you want. He had a 5M cap hit last year.

Chris Ivory had 10 rushing yards less than DWill (in 19 less atts) with a cap hit of 1.5M.

Knowshon Moreno is pretty much a young Dwill clone: 195 more yards in 40 more atts. He just signed a 1 yr contract for 3M.

Chris Johnson was just cut "for being overpayed". He's had 4 1000 rushing yards seasons in last 4 years, DWill has 0 in same time span.

The only guy who i can think of being more overpayed than him this past season is Ray Rice and he was much better than DWill in previous seasons. There's only 7 RBs this next year with bigger cap numbers than Williams. You're high if you think he's nowhere near that talent and production-wise.

He wants to keep the money he once signed for although he's not deserving now? perfectly fine but STFU about the team not keeping players who signed contracts this team couldn't afford to give.

Why? It's just business. D-Wil wants to win, and it's hard to win when Jericho Cotchery is your number one receiver.

Gettleman wants to win, and it's hard to win when your 1-2 RB tandem, who barely crack the 1000 rushing yards mark combined, occupy 20% of the salary cap allocated to the entire offense.

Let's not assume he returns to his previous level of productivity.  Achilles injuries are nasty

I hope he doesn't return to his previous level of productivity... that would mean he still sucks.

BPA is best player avalaible in each team's board when the pick comes. I have no idea why people keep doubting the philosophy bringing up other prospects names when we have no idea how the board is stacked.

There are more than 224 picks each year, NFL draft boards are filled with 100-150 names (teams like the Patriots are rumored to have even a smaller number). There's just no way every popular player with a 1st round grade given by draftniks and media is in every team's draft board. For what we know Mathieu very well could be off the board for Carolina considering his off-the-field stuff.

Green Bay is rumored to throw every defense back under 5-11 off their board. And each FO in the NFL have these type of "rules" when grading players, in one way or another.

That teams' General Managers like to lie and brag about their BPA philosophy when they could be pushing a prospect based on need? Sure

That we as fans have no idea if our team has truly drafted the best player avalaible (unless you're the Cowboys) and bringing up more known players to dispute the fact that a pick "is not BPA" is a very stupid point? Also true.
