It's funny that is the only thing you got out of his post. He was simply trying to explain to you that just because other people do it doesn't mean that you should do it, because when they are caught there will be consequences. If you have kids I hope you have taught them this very lesson.
I don't mind the point, I mind the hyperbole. I believe all the big schools do this to some degree. I believe the NCAA is aware of it but don't really want to bring the hammer down every time something is reported to them because of the financial implications of not having some of these players play for them.
Personally I don't care one way or the other about all of this. The NCAA will continue to rake in the cash, unless of course they actually do start holding all athletes to the same standard as regular students. The athletes will continue half assing their way through school so they can get their paycheck at the end. Nothing will change.
