#3039100 UNC Academic Scandal

Posted by stankowalski on 23 October 2014 - 07:02 PM

It's funny that is the only thing you got out of his post.  He was simply trying to explain to you that just because other people do it doesn't mean that you should do it, because when they are caught there will be consequences.  If you have kids I hope you have taught them this very lesson.

I don't mind the point, I mind the hyperbole.  I believe all the big schools do this to some degree.  I believe the NCAA is aware of it but don't really want to bring the hammer down every time something is reported to them because of the financial implications of not having some of these players play for them.

Personally I don't care one way or the other about all of this.  The NCAA will continue to rake in the cash, unless of course they actually do start holding all athletes to the same standard as regular students.  The athletes will continue half assing their way through school so they can get their paycheck at the end.  Nothing will change.

This division is terrible.

Looking at it objectively, Cincy fans have to feel a little worse than we do.  They tied at home to a team they felt they would beat, and they tied because they missed a relatively easy fg at the end of ot.

We can criticize Rivera, Cotchery, kick coverage, the offense, the defense etc... but if Gano had missed that fg, we would be ready to shoot Gano.

Yeah, I gotta agree...this tie was definitely worse for Cinci. Kicker has to be kicking himself...and missing.

If we and another team in the division end up with the same amount of wins,  the tie-breaker essentially belongs to us then.

So basically a tie is good for tie-breakers?

So KB hasn't been seen again, right?

Pretty sure he's undergoing concussion protocol.  That's what happens when you take an intentional elbow to the head (or "just football" as some morons would describe it).

No he came back.

You know other than that one run by Bernard, this is really a close game.  We may be overreacting a little bit.

What bullshit...that angle you can't tell poo

Exactly what I thought.  Either way, a challenge in any direction can't be overturned from what I saw.  You just can't tell from the angle they've shown us.

Love the show so far.  Robin Lord Taylor is stealing it so far, love his take on the penguin, which is one of the more forgettable characters in the whole Batman universe to me.

Got the W, but still a lot of work to do. Still first place in the NFC South.

I understand the bend but don't break philosophy, but we really should make them work hard to get there.
