Josh Norman decided to crash our Huddle draft party, and jumped on the Huddle Podcast recording to air his views on his fellow Panthers defensive player.

This is a must listen....

40 people at the huddle draft party eh? and Josh Norman crashes the party? far cry from when I showed up with my brother to the 2006 draft party at the Hickory Tavern, I think there was maybe 8 other people there.   which was the first draft party? was that it?

I've pretty much quit playing ball like that too... it's just too easy to get hurt and takes too long for me to heal now.

I got a new squat PR yesterday... first time I've ever ventured over 405... tried 425 and got it pretty easy for 2.  I'd like to get 455 at least once in my life and I can say my combined squat and deadlift is 1000 lbs plus.

my back is fuged, bad enough my PT said I should steer clear of doing squats with a bar, but managed to start doing them back in december and was happy just squatting 180 last week.

Gettleman had Thompson rated higher.

You can't go by media rankings.

Truest thing out there, media doesnt get half the info that the teams get on the players, most boards made by the media are based on perceptions of how teams view players, and honestly outside of the top 10 picks it's just a guessing game by the media.

Dear Cam,

Fug you.

Signed, Dave Gettlemen.

Guess I won't be changing my sig this year.

we need a LT and I wasnt high on any of them, so I'm not upset that we didnt get one, but we had some decent options on the board at WR that we left there. I think Strong could end up being special, and we go defense.....

I'm not saying Shaq Thompson wont be a good player, I think he will be.  I just think there were bigger needs that we had then anything defense.

I ran the Spartan sprint in Charlotte today, it was a bit harder then what I expected after doing the beast last year. But then again it might have been more to do with me still getting over being sick for pretty much the month of March.

Talk about a band that has lost their sound

Their best Album was Emotionalism, but their last two werent bad either, I even went to concert of theirs last year and they played more of the Old stuff then the new. was a great concert.

My job is a 10. Almost rage quit last week and am trying to figure out if not quitting was a bad idea. Plus my previous employer wants me back and may offer the raise I asked for before I left(hinted when I talked to them this week, but not outright offered).

Not being near a whitewater river 5. Part of the reason I haven't gone back to my old job is that I want to move back to western nc so I can go back to whitewater, never walk away from something that you can't go a day without thinking about.  Probably the biggest mistake I have made so far in life.

Other then that nothing, I'm fine financially(for myself).

#3314194 What annual income do you consider 'rich'?

Posted by Doc Holiday on 06 April 2015 - 10:57 PM

well said. if you make a poo ton of money, but are in debt up to your eyeballs i don't see you as being rich. you just have more expensive poo than others.

you have to think about greed vs. need.

I have been struggling with the fact that I really do want to buy a new vehicle, I can right now afford one, and something decent $20-25k rather easily. but my current vehicle gets me from work to home just as well as the guy that I saw driving a Audi R8 today, while not as stylish or fast, it get's me where I need to go and when I need to get there.

so instead of buying a new vehicle, I'm going to Europe for a month this year.  it's all about the choices you make.

If you can pay all of your bills on time without having to cut back on anything, you're rich.

A number?

I would say around $80,000 a year.

I am completely debt free as of February this year, I drive a beater car, have a decent house I live in a good location and I made $40k last year.

I pretty much do whatever the fug I want to whenever I want to.

Just live within your means, no debt means more financial freedom!

As opposed to LOSING to the Falcons?
In what world could that ever be a good idea?

This shyt still makes me vomit:

everytime someone asks me why I hate the Atlanta Falcons I bring up that play. My hate for Atlanta knows no bounds.

This is really about irresponsible gun storage, there is no reason for a 13 year old to have a gun readily available to himself, ever!

Gear? Depends on how much your are looking to ride/spend, but the standard padded MTB shorts, gloves and helmet. The padded shorts are life savers, you will thank me later if you ride a lot.
