I moved this to the TB because it makes more sense to discuss here...
There will always be skeptics and nonbelievers but i tend to try overlooking them. Several years ago my auto was t-boned and totaled on I-85 North, exit 10, by a tractor trailer truck, traveling 65 miles an hour. My auto was carried over 1/2 mile before the truck stopped, the only thing that saved my 2 passengers and I was the trucks bumper twisting up on one side, keeping my auto attached to the massive grill of the tractor trailer. My auto was thrown to the side when the truck had slowed down and was close coming to a halt.
A Christian family from Georgia, traveling behind me ,saw/heard the collision and smoke bellowing from the trucks brakes,as well as my auto tires that were on the pavement surface. They told me later they were certain were going to be killed,so they all started praying that our lives would be spared.
One of the passengers and i had minor injuries the other passenger was taken to Kings Mountain Hospital to be checked because their blood pressure was extremely high.
I was the last to get assisted from my auto and the first thing i did was fall on my knees and thank the Lord for sparing my life because i believed then,as i believe now, he had his hand in saving my life and the lives of my passengers.
Unbelievers are free to think how they please about things of this nature, but if one experiences a traumatic life changing event of this type,it is highly likely their skeptical viewpoint may be altered
You are entitled to believe whatever you wish, and I sincerely hope that you don't take this in any way as me bashing what you believe... I'm simply genuinely curious because I see this a LOT and have never really discussed it before.
Without using the "god works in mysterious ways" line of thinking... why do you think your god would choose to save your life/the lives of your family, when literally thousands of others die everyday in accidents, disasters, plane crashes, murders, and all other manner of things that befall people?
