#2860292 Tony Dungy: "I wouldn't have taken him." (Michael Sam)

Posted by PantherPhann89 on 21 July 2014 - 06:46 PM

Tony Dungy stood behind a man that drowned puppies in his bathtub. Sam doesnt deserve a chance though.

Dungy didn't say that Sams doesn't deserve a chance. He said that he would've given him one because he didn't want to deal with everything that came with it. That is no different that decisions that made regulary about players with off the field issues. He may be a very good player, but do you want to deal with it? How do you think your team will deal with it?

I hate this for Beason. He's a player of great character...

#2836797 What about Wharton

Posted by PantherPhann89 on 01 July 2014 - 07:55 AM

Because they were waiting for him to let them know if he was going to retire...

That may be, but I'd guess that if they wanted him back, they would've handled much like they did with Gross, tell  him that you'd like his decision by a certain date. I'm guessing that an offer was never made and that's why he was contemplating retiring.

Underwood getting abused on a play by a rookie is concerning on one end and good on the other...

But aren't you doing the same thing? Complaining about folks complaining. Except you put a lot of @#$$#@^&* in your posts. Kind of ironic isn't it?

I'm not complaining about people complaining. I'm complaining about the unnecessary lack of respect in this forum, for no good reason. That isn't irony, its a fact.

Everything's a joke when you're kids. When you are adults you should be able to type in a forum without a bunch of !@#$%^&*() making unnecessary post. If you don't like the thread, don't post in it. But
instead so many of you want to act like !@#$%^&*() just to get your post counts up while disrespecting fellow Carolina Panther fans and complaining about the fan base in the same sentence.

#2813458 Madden 15 Cover

Posted by PantherPhann89 on 08 June 2014 - 02:48 PM

I actually thought that Huddlers grew up in the off-season but I was wrong. They just become even bigger pricks than they were during the season. There is no way possible to please everyone with every thread, no more than I'm pleased by all of yours. If I go into a thread I don't like, I simply leave and try another. But I get it now, so many of you are so small that you have to act big from your keyboards while using the Huddle as your vehicle and the Panthers as your tool. Now mind you, this doesn't apply to all Huddlers but probably the masses. I like this forum and having a place to discuss my favorite professional team but I don't like being ridiculed every time I type something someone doesn't like nor do I like reading ridicule directed at others for the same. Grow Up

#2804880 Madden Cover Finals: Cam Newton vs Richard Sherman

Posted by PantherPhann89 on 30 May 2014 - 09:18 PM

If Cam gets on the cover, (stupid) people are going to blame the "Madden Curse" if:

A. Panthers win less than 12 games. If Newton puts up 5000 total yards and 40 total TDs, but the Panthers go 9-7? MADDEN CURSE!!

B. Cam doesn't match his stats from last year. 3000 yards passing, 20 TDs and the Panthers go 15-1? MADDEN CURSE!!!!11

Basically, if he gets on, and the team's wins or his stats regress any...Madden Curse will be blamed. (I would be happy with either one of the above scenarios, so long as the Panthers make the playoffs in scenario A.)

Unless there's a different Madden Curse that I'm not aware of, the Madden Curse has never been about stats of a player but about the player donning the cover getting injured in the same year. And no, I'm not saying that I believe or believed in it, but there were players that got injured the year of their cover and it was simply dubbed "the Madden Curse".

#2804611 So this Panthers fan asked Smitty a question..

Steve Smith is a competitor, whether he's a Panther or not. What else would anyone expect him to say...

#2791642 Panthers to sign Canadian OT

Not even an UDFA technically. Just a guy invited to try out.

Yeah, even more interesting...

#2784883 Panthers pick up a player off waivers

Gettleman has been know for finding undeveloped talent...

#2782833 Josh Johnson...

Posted by PantherPhann89 on 12 May 2014 - 04:55 PM

It would have been nice to have signed Connor Shaw though.

Yes, now this I really agree with, more so than Josh Johnson even...

#2782808 Josh Johnson...

Posted by PantherPhann89 on 12 May 2014 - 04:41 PM

I think that Josh Johnson will be a good backup to Cam. I'm sure that he can replace Joe Webb. I don't have a lot of faith in Joe Webb as a QB, although I think that he was brought in just to fill in while Cam is out. Josh Johnson was just cut by the Bengals.
