Eric Davis sounds off(again) concerning our wr's

17 July 2014 - 07:38 PM

I posted a thread a few weeks back where I discussed remarks made by E.D. on NFL AM concerning our wr's and how he didn't think the over-haul was going to effect the team like most other analysts are predicting.

Well, the subject came up again today when the crew was discussing whether Carolina would repeat as champs or not... of course the dill-holes who know nothing about the game declared that it would be impossible, because we had a core of brand new receivers and well.... E.D. shut em up pretty quick.

What training camp match-ups are you looking forward to...

06 July 2014 - 05:40 PM

Pretty slow around here so I figured I'd try to drum up a little interest.... so who are you guys looking forward to seeing go against each other in training camp? I'm looking at Nate Chandler vs either Charles Johnson or Greg Hardy. Dude is being thrown to the wolves and if he can come out of this with a draw, our worries at LT should be over.

Kelvin Benjamin vs ? He will probably see time against a few of the db's, not sure if we will get an accurate gauge of how good he can be, don't really have any top-tier guys in the secondary.

Trai Turner vs any of the interior d-line, everyone he will go against is good so we will see very soon whether this bulldozer can play with the big boys.

Which player would you like to see have a breakout year?

01 July 2014 - 07:33 PM

We all know the usual players will show up on Sunday and perform well, I'm looking for someone who has not really made much noise but who you believe has the tools and the passion for the game to excel; I'm going with Brandon Williams, a guy who definitely has the physical tools but has been slow to gain confidence from the coaching staff. Have heard nothing but praise from the coaches this year and I really believe he's going to do well.

Gaffney calls out... Richard Sherman

13 May 2014 - 07:22 PM

Didn't see another thread so I decided to post this;

NFL Network invited players from different positions to work with the likes of Michael Irvin, Terrelle Davis, Willie McGinnest and others. When Tyler Gaffney was asked in an interview who is the current player he would most like to run over he spoke without hesitation; Richard Sherman. Tyler said Sherman was the best corner in the league, among the best players in the league and he wanted to let him know he was coming for him. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see this play out when the two teams collide this season.

In Gettleman(and Byron Bell) we trust...

09 May 2014 - 09:11 PM

I'm thinking that Dave either believes Bell can be a starting LT in the NFL(and keep Cam upright) or that he believes there isn't an OT left in the draft who could beat him out for the job... so either way, it looks like Bell could very well be it.

The Byron Bell Bandwagon is loading up... ALL ABOARD!!!
