#889928 Delhomme likely to start for cleveland

How often do you see one team.....paying both starting QBs on a Sunday?

I still favor Clev. Better run game and we have no pass rush.

#885643 How many times does Godfrey have to get beat

Posted by CRA on 22 November 2010 - 10:19 AM

before Carolina realizes he ain't a NFL S. It has been obvious from day one he just doesn't get what it takes to play the position. Sure, he is a talented kid....but he is no S. Martin is a S and it was obvious from day one.

Every week he is out of position for what is now going on 3 years. The announcers may claim he is having a good season but they don't watch him....they glance at a stat sheet. Godfrey let the ever so slow and garbage TJ Housh get behind him.....

this isn't about being an athlete or talented. He is a horrible S for 3 years in a row.

#880693 Here's why St.Pierre is starting QB

Posted by CRA on 19 November 2010 - 03:18 PM

Dude, St. Pierre has been in lots of different NFL offenses and has had a lot more practice reps than Pike has. And as far as getting Pike experience for the future of the Panthers...why should Fox care about that more than trying to win right now?

in St. Pierre's peak/prime he was a 3rd sting QB w/ 5 real pass attempts. Fox literally pulled him off a couch and put 3 days worth of knowledge/practice about this offense in his head.....and then claimed he gives us the best chance.

that just doesn't = a better option than ANY QB on a roster who has been w/ a team since training camp.

Fox is making a point. He is making a point that Carolina put him in a situation to lose. That is why he is starting St. Pierre......it gives ammo for his arguement.

St. Pierre sounds like he's on the fence about whether or not he wants to start... LOL

St. Pierre sounds like he thinks Fox is a retard. He said obviously he thought Tony would get the start.......then when Fox tossed out the Vinny did it, he basically said yo, this ain't the same thing dumb dumb.

I'm happy for St. Pierre. He achieves his dream Sunday. Starting QB. I will feel bad for him once the game starts.

I feel really bad for St. Pierre. Fans are already in a bad mood. Poor guys gets picked and is going to be tossed out there in a lose/lose situation. He will probably take a lot from fans during the game he doesn't deserve.

he is 30 w/ less pass attempts in the NFL than Pike. lol, Carolina Panthers....taking bad football to higher and higher levels.

#876779 Pike to start

Posted by CRA on 17 November 2010 - 02:18 PM

Why? Is Pike that bad or is it just because he is a rookie? I don't know anything about him but it wouldn't be that hard to be see improvement.

Pike just never played in this style of offense in college. He is use to sitting in shotgun w/ mutliple WRs.

Playaction offenses are the toughest on a QB in the NFL.

#872546 Clausen actually looked like a pro QB today

Posted by CRA on 15 November 2010 - 12:43 PM

If Clausen looked like a pro....he looked like a bad pro. He looked like the kind of QB who isn't going to help you win a game.....he played like the caliber of QB who may not lose you the game on that particular Sunday.

Gantt and all these people playing this card that the D let the offense down are just off on this one. Yeah, the D didn't look great.......but neither did the offense.

Clausen had the best ground game performance of the season.....along w/ great overall starting field position. One offensive touchdown was generated.

Offense AGAIN was put in good positions on Sunday. For the first time they had a respectable ground attack. They did the same thing they have done all season........relatively nothing.

down by a 8 ( a score).......late in the 3rd. Offense got the ball on the Tampa 33. Moved the ball 3 yards. FG.

then Tampa got a fg -

down by 8 again now in the 4th.

Offense moved the ball 27 yards and punted......Tampa then put the nail int he coffin.

Offense doesn't do anything but kick fgs and punt. 9 games. 9 TDs. Offense is still the problem

#870529 Cowher hints at Carolina Job on CBS pre game show!

Posted by CRA on 14 November 2010 - 02:18 PM

I think 3-4 could actually fit us well .. i mean we have beason, davis, connor, anderson, brown, hardy, norwood ..they seem like they could pull it off

yep DL needs to be rebuilt regardless...so going to 3-4 isn't that big of an issue.

#866071 Who is our worst player?

Posted by CRA on 11 November 2010 - 09:13 AM

how can you claim a rookie....who hasn't played.....who made a position change....half way through his rookie season.....is the worst?

Ignoring all rookies and looking at the actual starters. I'm going w/ Godfrey. He is the only guy consistantly every Sunday year after year screwing up. Yeah, wow, he can hit someone on a rare occassion.....not enough.

#862748 With Moore Gone, Clausen to Shine.

Posted by CRA on 09 November 2010 - 11:57 AM

manning sucked as a rookie through his first few games, but he DID look better than Clausen.

it wasn't until like game 5 he really clicked and started blowing people away individually. Until that point he really looked lost often.

again, Manning had a VERY tough schedule. Manning I think threw at least a TD pass in 15 of his 16 rookie starts.

Manning didn't just look better than Clausen. Clausen's name shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.

#861043 Tony Pike

Actually the rookie excuse does fly. McCoy and Bradford have the backing of the coaches and have QB friendly offenses. Our offense is a JOKE. Our oline is playing like garbage. The Browns have Hillis and the Rams have S-Jax. WE HAVE SUTTON. Bradford was handed the keys to the offense and got all 1st team snaps. Building a rookies confidence and calling plays to allow them to get comfortable in a game is important. Our OC and coach has basically tied Jimmy's hands and gave him the ok to do nothing but hand the ball off.

Clausen struggles w/ such basics what does a QB friendly system do for him? I mean if he takes a hr to wind up to throw a 5 yard hitch........defenders are gonna know what is going on and either bat it at the line or get a break on the WR. That is if he gets the snap and opts not to scramble out of the pocket.

Sutton played in ONE GAME to date for us. That comparison has no meaning.

Colt didn't get a chance with all 1st team snaps. 1st start was against Pitt and Clausen has never even had a game that impressive against much weaker defenses.

#860626 How many haters will admit they wish we had Mike Vick now?

Posted by CRA on 08 November 2010 - 02:13 PM

I'd rather go 1-15 than be forced to root for Vick.

#853014 Robert Kraft: We're Going to Get a Deal

Posted by CRA on 04 November 2010 - 10:54 AM

I don't think JR looks ridiculous really compared to Kraft just for not paying people this season. We don't have a player that we feel about like they do with Brady. Literally everyone on the Patriots is expendable but Tom Brady.

JR will look like a clown as the only owner he prepped his team for a lockout and was content w/ not try to contend for a year......in addition to not try to content going through this entire Fox lame duck situation which delays rebuilding the team.

What JR did will be pointless....and he will be the only one in the league who did it.
