(f) He used his facemask, but didn't spear violently or unnecessarily. He obviously wasn't trying to hurt the guy, he was trying to tackle him. There's no way he could have had a chance at making the tackle without going directly for him and reaching out. (1) He didn't hit the head, neck or face. (2) He didn't lower his head. His facemask is clearly up from the photo evidence. (3) He didn't launch. He ran through, exactly as they're supposed to tackle.
I don't see the problem. I hope he appeals.
Well he didn't violently hit Palmer....the textbook way you are taught by looking at your target.
NFL basically changing the way football is played. Flag football era is coming....big hits even if done correctly are simpy being discouraged
that's the point where i dismissed the rest of the article. MANIACAL?!?!?!?!?! what does he secretly flip every kid the bird right before he gives them the football and only adam schein knows about it?
Newton even gave away record book balls at scores last year. Bashing what he does when he scores is full retard IMO....shows the guy writes about stuff he hasn't done basic homework on.
Also, it shows that journalism doesn't actually use journalist anymore....anyone can post poo thanks to the Internet.
Deep down I LOVE it though....it is a proven fact Newton plays the game better when hated and attempted to be made a villain. Only time he hasn't been good since nationally known was the brief start of this year when people in the media where attempting to "like" him. He simply plays better when it is him against the world
6-10, last place in the NFCS with multiple games lost bc of poor coaching in close games that matter? Winning a couple late when they didn't matter.
Sounds like a repeat of 2011. No improvement in virtually any aspect. More I think about it....to trend upwards Rivera needs this game IMO (which I didn't think earlier).
This game, in a world of meaningless games, actually has some meaning....which makes it the closest opportunity for him to show something in a game with a little meaning.....actually show he is improving.
Not exactly Keeks had a probowl season but I don't know about all pro, beason before this season I would have said was our best defensive player on the team, if TD has taught us anything it's not to just write off a player because he's injured.
Beason our best true leader on the entire team.
Can't treat everyone like Thomas Davis.....would be a disaster for the team if that became a common practice especially with well paid players
The replay looked to me like Hardy led with his helmet into the QB instead of his pads. You can see his facemask go right into Palmer's ribs. I don't necessarily disagree with that call, but the no-call on Cam was absolute bullsh*t
You teach 10 yr olds to look at what you are tackling. Hardy didn't lower his lead....his eyes are buried in Palmer's ribs. If that is illegal they should just put red shirts on QBs.
Once again, the kick doesn't bother me. It's the reaction to the ref that is gonna get him fined. If he keeps jumping in the faces of refs, they're gonna start throwing more and more flags. I don't see what's so hard to understand.
Again....Cam jumped up and at an Oakland player. The ref stepped in front of Cam.
Now he then ran his mouth at the ref for the no call and a huge angry man inches from your face makes it an easy flag....
But the ref is the one who happened to time it just right to sep in the mix of two players. It isn't this, Cam went and got in the refs face....like implied. Cam turned to bark at the defender and as he turned the ref happened to be inbetween. Notice ow Cam's body language drastic changed the second he saw the ref step in front of him.
And AGAIN....the Oakland defenders admitting to attempting to hurthim means Cam had the right to be upset. Oakland's admission pretty much gives Cam a pass for being pissed. He should of been....Cam a that point was protecting himself. Him getting flagged for bitching out the ref for their hits does bring attention to it and help with his own safety.
So if Oakland hadn't admitted to anything YOU WOULD have a haters arguement on this.....but since they admitted to it......it makes the focus on Cam a moot point. Unless you are just a hater
I would put Anderson in for the second half at QB no matter that Cam is playing good/bad. He is playing against the Oakland Raiders and their scrubs. So what if he has a good game going. I have not seen Anderson run the offense.
Would not play DWill at all. If he is gone at year end, then we need to know what we have to couple with Stewart
Pull Steve Smith in the second half and start using a couple other guys. Several guys need to get some playing time. With half you guys wanting a WR in the first or second pick, I would think it smart to evaluate this group.
The secondary because of injuries is getting a good look. We will at least know who has potential and who does not come April.
DA playing serves no purpose. He sucks....that is already known. There is no such thing as a garbage game for Cam. All reps a QB his age gets are valuable. Build toward the future.
You can't bench Smitty. To a degree stats are a motivation for him....he is playing for his legacy and footprint in the game. That is a reason the old man plays like he still has a shot at the postseason.
