#2964964 Are we overlooking the Steelers?

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on Yesterday, 05:08 PM

Historically the Panthers have not handled success well.

They have done better when caste as the underdog.

This game will be another data point helping determine whether the team is transitioning from an also ran to perennial favorite.

Historically we haven't handled going into a season with people believing in us

This year, we were the overall consensus pick to flop. So no worries

Fans See him get stuck at the line, and blame him lol. They dont realize the other 5 players that might have caused it

Some people also just realize at 31 in this offense.....he should not be talked about like he is close to the dude that ran the ball at 25.

That's life in the NFL.

His contact isn't his fault....but his name is going to come up when we are left wondering why we aren't doing more to help Cam.

#2964220 Can you relate?

I felt bad for them last night. I couldn't watch it for very long.

I didn't feel bad for them

Just hated Atl was the one stomping them and will get some love for it

Lions game featured a pass heavy offense with a backup RT for them to play against.

Lions game probably gave us the best case scenario IMO in terms of surviving with our backup options.

A balanced attack IMO will be more of a talent with a legit starter. Will be harder to pick and choose when to play whom and it will be tougher sledding just based on talent

#2957568 kalil on carolina's biggest flaw so far...

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 16 September 2014 - 11:09 AM

We actually could have really used DeAngelo for this game. He can string out runs moreso than Stewart and Tolbert, who tend to plow straight into the line. Unfortunately, that's where the Lions are at their strongest.

We should be able to get the run game untracked this week, as through two games, Pittsburgh looks like they have one of the worst run defenses in the league. They're giving up 170 rush yards per game and an even 5.0 yards per carry. Oakland is the worst, giving up 200 rush yards per game and the same 5.0 ypc average.

Williams would have had less yards . Did you not watch Stewart earn every little inch he got? Williams isn't built to deal with that slop

Ravens game is also a tough one to insert Hardy back into the lineup...considering that franchise is where the recent outrage stems from

#2956368 Who will be our DC next season?

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 15 September 2014 - 09:20 PM

Our D was not even comparable under Chud vs Shula.

We did not have Luke and Star. Not to mention the suck a tude at S and CB those years.

And our offenses weren't comparable either......one plays into having elite D talent. Chud was just showing off. Shula is consistent.....and our O is

Chud's O was in the bottom half of the league in TOP both years. Shula was top 5 last year.

#2956127 Yahoo Sports: Is Cam Most Underrated QB?

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 15 September 2014 - 07:55 PM

Seriously? Because it is well known Jordan Gross and other leaders went to him last year and told him to stop doing it.

We went 12-4. Wasn't much opportunity to sulk

Cam starts getting whipped and he will sulk and be ticked just like Peyton, Brady etc will. They just don't have a towel....bc for whatever reason a towel that you also wear while curbstomping people is a huge deal

#2956035 Who will be our DC next season?

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 15 September 2014 - 07:19 PM

Rivera is the main reason behind that 14-4 record

One of the most efficient offenses+ great defense + Rivera not being a bonehead is the reason.

But Shula's efficient O definitely has it's role. People like to blur the line of what efficient and ball control O is....

This board loved Chud overall while he was here....hates Shula. One had Sportscenter plays, one didn't. One helped us win, one would call 3 straight passes from the 2. Give me Shula

#2955973 Who will be our DC next season?

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 15 September 2014 - 06:54 PM

The question should be: who will be our OC next year?

14-4 with Shula. He ain't going nowhere with his O being part of the puzzle of us winning

I don't think McD is going anywhere....

Look at how long it took Ron to get a HC gig. He might finally get an interview or two but I am not worried yet.

#2954878 Peterson to play sunday...maybe Hardy next

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 15 September 2014 - 11:20 AM

The Panthers just put up one of the best defensive performances they have had in several years without Hardy.

I don't care if he plays or not.

I'm firmly aboard the A-Train... addison that is.

Lions don't run that balanced off an attack though. So that and the backup's backup RT he faced did all play into Addison's day.

I am fine with Addison on any 3rd and long play or pass heavy scenarios.

Still remains a question of we can get it done on early downs IMO. Addison isn't used there and a more well rounded attack could still present questions

#2954749 Steelers prediction thread...lay it out there now

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 15 September 2014 - 10:36 AM

Big Ben can buy time....that makes him a scarier QB IMO. Bc he isn't scrambling when he does it so he still has most of the field to work with.

That said, at home? If we both play good games we are better.

Biggest concern IMO would be special teams. We are covering kicks poorly and Antonio Brown karate kicks chumps

#2954688 Mike Shula

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 15 September 2014 - 10:11 AM

14-4 in games now with Shula as OC

And that is with a weak OL.

He is calling games to put us in position to win....and we are winning. The Shula hate is absurd at this point.

#2953510 RB Situation

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 14 September 2014 - 09:28 PM

It's not 2.4 yards today. It's 2.4 yards over both games. He was actually better this game than last one.

Again, he faces contact at or before he gets to the line....go back and watch the Tampa game and they literally ran him into a sea of bodies. Stewart's YPC isn't a Stewart problem...it is a OL and playcall issue.
