#1799444 Beason makes splash in return to practice

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 12 June 2012 - 01:17 PM

Sophomore slump. Gimp LB picked him off. Steve Smith probably lost another step which didn't help. Mayans predicted all this

Do you even know the history of your own franchise??

Note I said is now a shitty franchise....which implies at one time the Skins weren't.

Lets look at both franchises since Carolina came into the league.

3 NFC Championship appearances
1 Superbowl appearance
1 Conference title
6 playoff wins

2 playoff wins

Redskins have become a shitty franchise. Look how they have stacked up to the lowly Panthers. LOL

#1798044 Steve Smith a Diva?

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 11 June 2012 - 09:45 AM

one nfl mouth talking about another? pretty funny.

I don't think there is a possibility for any of these guys to get to where they are mentally or physically without having an inflated self-image. It's part of the psyche. These are not type-A guys. By the time they get NFL jerseys and then earn a start... over several years these are type-AAAAA people.

Not only do they believe they are the biggest guy in the room they know they have to believe it or it simply won't be true.
diva is technically an accurate description if you compare them to you and I, but you have to compare these guys to their peers only.

If Smith is a diva what is TO? I am not going to defend the guy because he is a hot head and on the verge of explosion. However that fault is part of his success on the field too. A big part.

TO is a poor measure. He is the uber diva and not a representation of your standard diva WR.

You won't see Megatron behaving like Smitty has....Megatron isn't a diva. Smitty is in the diva class....

The entire Panthers organization has always acknowledged Steve was Steve and required his own unique handling.

This one ain't over...I expect another post after they get back together following the "earring retrieval dinner". Then another post about how there is a new straw that is supposedly the last one....

#1794262 Otah Knee OK after MRI

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 06 June 2012 - 02:10 PM

Ok your right they didnt list 2010 for some reason on Davis's page and did on Otah in 2010. I can admit when I am wrong and miss read something.

You act like it was a conspiracy...they listed 2010 for Otah bc he suited and played some that season. Thomas Davis was never on the roster during the season.

But thanks for stepping up and admitting you are always wrong and I am always right. I accept

#1793758 NFL.com Article on Jon Beason

You do understand the only reason that he is starting in the middle in OTAs is because Beason is not active yet? Also it has been said that he would be on the outside rotating with Davis.

It has also been said Beason will be asked to play OLB some as well......despite starting off at MLB. It has also been said Luke will will learn and play both....just like Beason.

Luke is learning both for 2 reasons. 1. He is the ideal NFL MLB. 2. Beason's real status for this year is unknown. They aren't going to have Luke play the next 5 years at OLB if he becomes a better MLB option than Beason.

I'm too afraid too. Like what if he's playing with his little brother or kids or something.

Too afraid to what? He is just a dude playing Xbox. He is probably sitting in his underwear and eating a bag of chips. He isn't a greek god.

Talk a little friendly smack and ask him how OTAs have been going

K Ill start. Now way in fuggin hell the Luke ever "replaces" Beason unless he has a career ending injury.

Luke is a top 10 pick. If he pans out and Beason never returns to what he was....he will replace Beason.

#1791153 Jimmy Clausen Showing Improvement?

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 03 June 2012 - 10:38 AM

Yup let's cut that third string QB who isn't earning much. Let's replace him with some other third string QB who won't earn much but doesn't know the playbook.

You have to have three QBs. We've learnt the risk of carrying two in the past.

Let's replace him with a QB who actually has the skill set and potential to fit the offense.

Doesn't matter if Clausen knows the playbook

Him wanting to be here means little.....of course he wants to be here.

Stewart wants to get paid. That is the issue.

My list is up, I won't discuss Welker any longer. Where's your list?

Is that your ranking? How many elite WRs are there in the NFL? Where is your line drawn. You got Welker at 7.

I don't care where guys a ranked so much....that is cloudy. My stance is Welker is elite. I think there are more than 3-4 elite WRs.

I got

(Smitty, Welker, Jennings, a few others in the next tier) and I consider them all elite. Order isn't concrete.

I don't have DeSean Jackson in that mix. He has a great skill set and can do great things. Not elite yet. Not a consistant nightmare like a Welker

So now, instead of telling you why Wes Welker isn't elite..you want me to name a better #2 WR? Lol
Just accept my opinion and move on. Like I've already said..this is all opinionated in the first place.

ANY...head coach in this league would rather have Smitty than Wes. Bank on it. ;)

All I have asked is for you to tell me what in your opinion makes a player elite..... and you can't.

I asked for you to name a player simply bc I was going to point out you can't name a more productive player. Production is all that really matters.

Welker doesnt have to have the skill set of an Andre Johnson and play a traditional #1 to be elite.....just like a QB doesn't have to be a pure passer or a RB just a rusher

NFL isnt about what you have potential to do....it is simply a production league.

Last 5 years (half a decade)

554 receptions, 6105 rec yards, 31 TDs, 1 FL
355 receptions, 5353 rec yards, 29 TDs, 6 FL

Well, I realize it isn't tough math..but I'd like to see the information your spouting off with. Eh, fug it..I could care less anymore.
Smith is a better WR all around. Hell, if Smith would have had Brady throwing to him (or even Cassell..during the Teste, Moore, Clausen days) I think he'd almost be a lock for HOF. To be honest man, you're just rehashing everything you've already said..which makes me think you've ran out of real estate on this topic. Welker is NOT an elite WR, but rather a good one.

You have the drop numbers.

Every sport website has there receptions over the last two years.

What other info do you need?

Again, what makes someone elite? Name a 2 WRs not named Smith, Megatron, Fitz, or Andre.....better.

Can't get your nose out of his jock eh? I think you're wrong about Smith dropping more passes per attempt. Either way, Smitty>Welker. And that's with homerism aside. Any analyst that knows that their talking about would tell you the same as well. Welker doesn't fumble because he doesn't fight for yards. He takes what is there and goes down.

Wes Welker ladies and gentlemen, possibly one of the greatest #2 WR's ever. Lol

Well it isn't tough math....but Smith averages more frequent drops when compared to his receptions.

And Smitty is > than Welker in this offense or if asked to take on the role of a traditional #1.

Welker is a different WR. Asked to do different things. He is arguably the greatest slot man in NFL history.

Welker and Smith are different and play the game different.....you are too focused on why Welker isn't like Smith. Like I pointed out....look at Welkers touches and lack of fumbles compared to Smith....Smith needs to go down often when he doesn't.

Welker is an elite WR. Patriots also went from being a running/defensive to a uber passing team when BB realized what Welker allowed Brady to do.
