#2867631 Day 4 Training Camp Thread

Posted by Cracka McNasty on 28 July 2014 - 12:12 PM

agreed, but by the same logic I don't remember hearing anything about CJ's athletic ability.

like you said sky isn't falling, but one could be hopeful for more.

especially considering he was a second round pick, and they usually start. I guess I was expecting more out of him based on what everyone said.

Not too worried about Ealy yet. It took CJ and Hardy a couple of years to catch on too and now they may be the best DE tandem in the league. Really hope that pick isn't a bust though considering some of thE guys we passed on.

I am not, by any means, claiming the sky is falling, but i distinctly remember talk of Hardy and his raw abilities when he was a rookie. People talked about how great of an athlete he was, and if he got the rest of it together, he would be great.

Only thing I'm hearing about Ealy is 'he's not doing anything'.

#2867269 Greg Hardy Camp Interview.

I’ve been holding off on judgment about Hardy since this whole fiasco went down, and from what I’ve heard from a guy that knows a guy (I know, please, unmoisten those panties with this insider I have), Holden is a psycho hose beast. She apparently OD’d on coke back in college at ECU and her then boyfriend had to take her to the hospital. He broke up with her immediately.

As for the way things went down the night in question, they allegedly align with what Hardy was saying. He wasn’t an aggressor and was calm and trying to call the cops (so sayeth a third party that was there, a GF of one of the players, although I don’t know how true that is, considering they didn’t testify on Hardy’s defense).

I’m just telling you what I heard from the dude that told me Gross was retiring a few days before the official announcement, as well as Smitty being released a few days early.

So yeah, take it with a grain of salt because I am too.

These were great. Some things I saw:

the king catch you speak of was of his own mistake, he made it harder than it should have been. He also dropped quite a few balls that shouldn't have been.

Gafney looked like he could actually be an NFL RB.

Barner surprised me. I've been very vocal about him in the past but Zod was right, he did look like he belonged.

Avant and cotchery catch everything near them. Olsen too. He was constantly one handing passes throughout practice. Showing off for the crowd I spose.

Brandon williams was alright, he looks shaky trying to catch passes. Ed Dickson looks more comfortable with passes thrown his way in my opinion.

Cam looked good, couldn't even tell he had surgery really.

Bersin looked damn good. I was actually impressed with him. He had a number of great plays.

Kelvin looked solid, didn't really stand out. I personally didn't see many throws go his way though.

My jeebus, he was a fourth round pick, you guys are acting like we gave up 2 first rounders and Cam to draft the guy.

#2854131 Panthers & TWC reach deal on TV programing

Posted by Cracka McNasty on 16 July 2014 - 01:09 PM

That's cool and everything... but I would have gone 6 to midnight if they came out of nowhere and told us it would be Google Fiber doing it, and, oh by the way, Charlotte is getting the Google fiber.

TWC is a piece of crap company

ESPN is having a battle royale of sorts with the most memorable plays from each NFL Team.

Smitty's 69 yard TD pass in 2OT against the rams is up against the Bills and Scott Norwood's 'Wide Right' FG.

#2850055 Statistical Analysis of 7 Young QBs

Posted by Cracka McNasty on 14 July 2014 - 11:17 AM

To add to my last statement.

If you were to ask me for 1 QB for the next 5-10 years it would be between Newton and Wilson.

Newton has more physical tools, and the sky is the limit.

Wilson has more playing time, and is pretty damn efficient.

With this D, I think that you would probably have tremendous success for the next 2 years with Wilson.  But when this D falls off, and it will, I would prefer Newton, as I think that he will be ready to carry a team within the next 3 years.

That's the thing though, he's already been carrying the team the past 3 years. The offense runs through Cam Newton. Just like the Colts run through Luck.

I would actually love to see the Hawks throw more on wilson's plate. It'd be pretty damn cool to see what he can do when the team is "his"

I've had the Xbox One since Xmas and I believe December was the last time I turned it on. I don't even know of it turns on.

I'll give you $101.01 for it...

Didn't you see Money Ball friend ? Haha in all honesty why is an angry colts fan here to begin with ? Wrong conference man, now please go back to condescending to jags, titans and texans fans okay ? And if you are simply a misguided panthers fan please grab a chair some pills and a jimmy buffet CD and please chill ^_^ lol I don't hate Andrew luck but why defend an AFC QB to a bunch of Huddlers who could care less ?

Because we couldn't care less...

QB Rankings, IMO...

-Luck
-Wilson
-Newton
-Griffin
-Kaepernick

Not going to jump down your throat or anything, but I am interested in why you put Luck at the top of your list?

Aside from his 4th quarter comebacks, he hasn't done anything better than any of the other QBs.
