We know who we are this year.  atleast the last few years, we didn't know our identity going into the season.  Last year, we didn't know we were one of the best defenses in the league, 2 years ago we were square pegging a round hole with our offense, 3 years ago we had no clue that a rookie QB was gonna come in a break records, 4 years ago we were the worst team in the NFL and I'd have to guess we didn't know that, and 5 years ago we didn't know Jake had lost all ability to QB in the league.  I think this year, we know EXACTLY who we are, we're a defense powerhouse, with a dynamic QB, and a young group of receivers.  It's easier to start strong when you know who you are than it is when you're looking for an identity.

In Topic: Fantasy Football - Panthers Players

My rule in fantasy football is to always try to avoid drafting players from your own team, thus why I never have had cam or Smitty on my team.  The reason is, as a fan, you'll make a reach for them more than anyone, I let so many of my competitors do that, especially with friends in louisiana who draft people like Nick Toon, Kenny Stills, and Pierre Thomas.  That being said, I took KB in the 9th round, it's to good of a value.  He is clearly the #1 receiver on the team, and it's not even close.  He'll be a huge part of our offense, and be a big TD guy in the league with maybe even 1000 yards.  Last year, I took the Panthers D in the 2nd to last round of the draft (my only defense BTW), and I got laughed at and called a homer, then viewed as a savant as the panthers D ravaged.  As long as you understand the true value of each player from the panthers, you should be ok.

I don't have any ill will towards kid pickle, glad he's making something out of his career.  He was a bad rookie, and didn't do anything with the chance he was given, and by the time he could have gotten it together, Cam had taken reign and redesigned the offense to one that he had no possibility of running effectively.  In the right system, I still think Clausen can be decent, but it wasn't gonna happen here.  Hell, Andy Dalton has the same skillset as Pickles, but he's in an offense built around his skills with an out of this world talent at receiver.
