#841998 Are we still undefeated when stewart gets 14

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 30 October 2010 - 11:34 AM

Stats are for losers. I suppose everyone would be happy if we run Deangelo when down 2 scores late in the game to make sure he gets 14 touches. That stat is skewed because teams who can run the ball more when they are ahead.

your statement is skewed because how often is carolina ahead?

#835264 keep in mind that carolina beat the 49ers by a late 4th quarter field goal....

also keep in mind...so did new orleans, atlanta, and philadelphia. which means despite their record, they are competitive.

no matter how it was done or who it was against, enjoy the win.

#827933 Your ideal season end

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 23 October 2010 - 02:11 PM

regardless of how they get there, nothing short of a superbowl win is my ideal season end.

it's the only thing that will get rid of the vomit taste that is in the back of my throat that this season has given me so far.

#786757 If I was the coach for the Panthers

williams and stewart on the field at the same time?!

holy hell batman! why hasn't anyone on the huddle ever thought about that?

#781544 If the Panthers do somehow win on Sunday....

"clausen blah blah blah blah blah"

replace blah with whatever.

#775210 I thought Clausen looked good...

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 26 September 2010 - 05:05 PM

agreed.

ditto.

the kid looked solid and confident.

#737018 Otah suffered a "mini-setback"

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 09 September 2010 - 03:20 PM

Notice it says "I might have pushed myself a little too hard."

It doesn't say "They might have pushed me a little too hard."

thank you.

people don't realize that during the recovery process, the trainers can only go off the feedback the players give them.

if a player isn't truthful about how he really feels because he wants to get back on the field...things can happen.

#721202 If JStew or DWill get hurt early...

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 31 August 2010 - 05:58 AM

...i don't think 2K is really a possibility...fox likes RB by commitee too much...

#672311 So this was Jakes problem.

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 31 July 2010 - 12:49 PM

what ever the case may be, i wish him the best of luck in cleveland...except when he goes up against carolina.

#670923 Panthers Smaller this year

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 30 July 2010 - 12:47 PM

Meeks also led Indy to the leagues worst run defense...

the same bob sanderless defense that when he returned from his injury became the top defense in the playoffs and won the superbowl?

sanders's health determined indy's ability to stop the run.

an argument can be made that a single player can't completely affect a defense...if that isn't the case, then why are people worried about the panthers' pass rush?

#669170 Dwayne Jarrett = Cut?

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 29 July 2010 - 10:45 AM

Jarrett's stock doesn't rise or fall b/c of 1 wrong route day 1. Same reason Clausen's doesn't fall b/c he was dropping snaps. Jarrett's stock will move when camp is done.

clausen is a rookie. mistakes are expected.

all the rookies should look sloopy.

a 4th year vet should not be running the wrong route. he should be setting the tone and be an example.
