#1961361 Panthers Claim CB James Dockery off Waivers

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 24 October 2012 - 12:02 PM

2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

James Dockery, CB, Oregon State

James Dockery had a slow start to his collegiate career at Oregon State. The 6-1 cornerback was highly regarded coming out of high school and was expected to make a pretty big splash in the Beaver secondary sooner rather than later. However, he had to bide his time and wait behind some pretty talented players. After redshirting in 2006, Dockery saw limited action in 2007. The following season was supposed to be when Dockery stepped into a starting role, but an injury sidelined him for the entire year.
Dockery finally got his chance in 2009 and he made the most of it. Dockery was the lone player in the secondary that started all 13 games. Dockery started to show that he could be the strong corner that everybody expected him to be. The 2010 season went even better for Dockery. Again Dockery started every game and this time he tallied 56 tackles and four interceptions. Dockery had a knack for making big plays in 2010 as two of his four interceptions clinched victories for OSU late in the game.
Dockery is relatively quick and has decent instincts, but his measurables will not blow away any NFL teams. Oregon State's inconsistent and disappointing 2010 season has not helped Dockery's draft stock either and he is likely a late round selection at this point.

the panthers have needed another wide reciever since 2008.

#1953114 Rob Ryan refers to Panther as running "some sort of junior high offense"

#1952715 Carolina Panthers vs. Dallas Cowboys Game Thread

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 20 October 2012 - 07:25 PM

I first became a panthers fan in 2003 when I attended the game with my father(long time panthers fan). I was at the game when the Panthers were down 17-0 to the jags at half before Jake took over for Rodney Pete and led the comeback victory. From that game on I've been a panthers fan. That game taught me to never give up on your team no matter how bad things seem. We are coming out of a bye down in the standings just like that Panthers team of 03 was down on the scoreboard. I think this team will come out and give it all they have because the players, the coaches, and us fans know this is it, it's time to get it done and I believe they will.

Panthers-27 Cowboys-17

wouldn't that be something if jimmy clausen took over at halftime and lead the panthers to a win over dallas?

the huddle would shut down...for eternity.

i won't get my hopes up until carolina puts together a winning streak.

#1946734 Why the Falcons are pretenders..

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 14 October 2012 - 07:08 PM

if carolina was 6-0 with that schedule, they'd be the greatest team the nfl has ever seen.

#1946710 Damn we have played tough competition

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 14 October 2012 - 06:55 PM

the competition wouldn't look so tough if carolina was worth a rat's left testicle and won their games....

Tampa 1-4
New orleans 1-4
Ny 3-3
Atl 5-1
Sea 3-3

not so intimidating now is it?

how a team performs has a big impact on it's own strength of schedule.

if they keep frickin losing, it keeps looking worse.

#1944384 So....here are my thoughts

#1944237 If Packers lose this weekend... (2-4)

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 11 October 2012 - 07:57 PM

moral victories are for losers.

just saying.

#1943690 You can fire one of three...

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 11 October 2012 - 10:55 AM

rivera.

despite the questionable crop of players, the team still has the talent and ability to be competitive. rivera has failed to make to make it happen.

#1941012 Can't defend Cam no more

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 09 October 2012 - 12:22 PM

we're only 5 games into the season and already we're calling for a new QB??

This is the same guy who we all thought would be one of the greatest QB's ever to play the game by the time his career is over.

Relax, and give the kid a chance.

not everyone.

#1940785 Who's Idea was it...?

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 09 October 2012 - 10:09 AM

Yeah I think our backs have dropped every screen pass thrown to them this season

per pff...

out of the 25x stewart, williams, and tolbert have been targeted...each one of them has dropped the ball only once.
